Reusable Glass Votive Candle, 8.5oz

Candles are always welcome in my house, especially when they are ones with a pretty jar that I can reuse time and time again.  This one is lavender-scented, which isn’t my favorite since I’m not a floral person.  However, it isn’t overpowering so when burning the candle it didn’t bother me at all.

RAKU “Aumakua” Sea Turtle Dream Jar

I’ve actually never heard of a dream jar.  It is said if you write your dreams and place them in this jar then the spiritual power of the turtle and sea will make your dreams a reality.  I love the colors of this jar, they are so bright and vivid!

Lavender Seaweed Body Sea Salt Scrub

It’s well known that I love sugar scrubs, so I figured a salt scrub would be right up my alley.  I haven’t ever used one with seaweed but was intrigued.  The salt is a bit more course than I’m used to, however that isn’t a bad thing considering how dry the PNW has been lately.  I really liked this scrub and can’t wait to use it again!

Pacific Sea Salt

I really like this jar and will be sure to reuse it around the house.  I wasn’t stoked to get salt in the box, however, it fits the niche really well so it does make sense to include it.

Handmade Cards, Photographer Elizabeth Munsey

Greeting cards are invariably a fun item to receive, I like that it reminds me to reach out to my loved ones.  Sending a quick “thinking of you card” is always a sweet surprise.  These cards are beautiful too, the photography is stunning.

Crushtabs Toothpaste & Reusable Capsule Keychain

I love this product!  It is a toothpaste that you chew and then brush.  The week before getting the Life’s a Wave box, I was telling my husband that I wanted to start making our toothpaste with xylitol and baking soda because I had read it was really good for your teeth.  So I was blown away when this toothpaste was in the box.  Are they reading my mind?  It works really well and had my teeth feeling fresh all day.  There were two tabs included in this key chain.

Turtle Sea Salt Artisan Chocolates, Chocolates du Cali Bressan

I wish I got a better picture of these beautiful chocolates.  Unfortunately, my son (and I) couldn’t stop gobbling them up.  He enjoyed the caramel turtle while I gobbled up the balsamic vinegar one.  I know, vinegar in chocolate?!  But it was really tasty, no joke!  I think I’ll be ordering some of these for future gifts.  They are adorable and tasty at the same time, what’s not to love?

Turtle Keychain

Since I’m the type of person that is always dreaming of the sea, this is the perfect key chain for me.  I also like that it is very lightweight.  Typically I don’t use novelty keychains because they tend to be too bulky.

Reusable Mesh Produce Bag – Baskiss

This is another item that made me feel like Life’s a Wave is inside my head.  I had told my son the day before getting this box that we needed to buy one of these bags so we could easily wash his legos.  This couldn’t have come at a better time.  We will be using this for not only Lego washing but also as a produce bag when we go shopping.

Reusable Straws & Cleaner

I had a set of reusable straws already, however you can never have too many.  I tucked this set into my purse to use when I’m out and about.  I love the high-quality travel case and the cleaning brush that were also included.  I know swapping out plastic straws is a small change that I can make to better the environment, and I love that my son sees me making changes and wants to follow in my steps.

Life’s a Wave Sticker

This super cute sticker was added to my growing collection.  I love the colors and simple design.

Overall

This subscription box really impressed me.  Everything was very well curated to match the niche, without overwhelming me with the theme.  I like that they include small businesses in the box and that they put an emphasis on reusable items.  For the most part, this isn’t a box where you use the item one time and toss it.  The price point is a bit higher than I’m used to seeing on monthly boxes, however, the value of the items is on par with the monthly price.  Maybe I love it because I”m a Pisces, maybe I love it because I have grown up near the coast.  Either way, I love it nonetheless.  I will be following this box closely in the coming months to see what the future holds for them.  If you are a beach lover, or know a beach lover…do yourself a favor and go check them out!
