See the below gallery with pictures of all the neat inserts in our box.  My favorite was the mirror sticker that reads “Keep your squats low and your standards high” since I could see this being a great motivational piece to add to a work out room.  I thought it was cool that My Athlete Box also included work out cards and recipes.  All of these inserts would make it easy to get on track with personal fitness goals.  I can’t wait to try the included recipes!

My Athlete Box  Branded Gear

Included in our My Athlete Box was a drawstring backpack and a headband.  I really like to have several of these drawstring type backpacks stashed in my car and around my house since they are so compact and versatile.  I really like the bright purple color of this one!  The included headband is really cute and comfy.  I will for sure be using both of these items a lot in the future.

“Southern Belles Lift Too” Bracelet – BossBelle Apparel

Since I live in Washington, this bracelet doesn’t apply to me at all.  However, it so happens that my best friend since childhood moved to Tennessee last month and she is heavy into the cross-fit scene.  I know she will love to get this surprise in the mail and I can’t wait for her to get it.

Beanfields Bean Chips – Pico de Gallo

I wasn’t expecting much out of this bag of bean chips.  Boy did I underestimate these though.  I love chips so having something that is a healthier alternative is a huge win for me.   These chips are packed with 4 grams of both protein and fiber and taste even better than most corn chips I typically splurge on. I need to try all the other flavors that Beanfields has to offer!

Second Nature – Wholesome Medley

I love having trail mix on hand for myself and my son.  This medley was a great balance of sweet and savory.  I was happy to see dark chocolate in the mix since sometimes I still want to treat myself.  The sugar content was a little high for me to say that I would eat this every day, however, they are a great snack to have in my desk or purse.

Primal – Meatless Vegan Jerky Soy

I wasn’t a fan of this vegan jerky.  The smell, texture, color, and taste were all a big no from me.  I don’t adhere to a vegan diet and this is my first taste of any vegan jerky, so I can’t say how it compares to other similar products.  I had Noelle try it too in order to ensure I wasn’t being too harsh but we both ended up throwing away our half of this product.  Since this box isn’t aimed at a vegan lifestyle, I’m hoping future boxes could stick to products that more subscribers would enjoy.  Or even have an option upon subscribing to note if you prefer vegan treats.

Annie’s Bunny Fruit Snacks

Fruit snacks are always a hit for me, and these are pretty standard.  The same chewy and fruity flavor I know and love.

Nutrasumma – Fermented Pea Protein – Chocolate

I am actually waiting to try this until the new year.   I know so cliche, but New Year New Me and I’m going to be tracking my nutrition much more strict in the beginning of January so I wanted to have this on hand for that first week of 2019.  I will update this review once I test it though.

Popchips – Barbecue

Popchips are the absolute best snack for when you want to stay on track but you also need something salty and something savory. The crunch is absolutely perfect and reminds me of actual chips. I don’t say that often about lower-calorie snacks because let’s face it, they usually don’t taste that great. However, Popchips definitely have a great flavor to them and the barbecue variety is actually one of my favorite ones. I’ve snacked on these many times before so I was really happy to see these in a box and really enjoyed them. You can also find them at many grocery stores so the convenience factor is also something I really like about the brand.

Overall

If this is My Athlete Box’s sample box, I can’t wait to see what they have in store of their tiered boxes.  I love that there was a little bit of everything, for recipes, to gear, and of course snacks.  I was expecting more work out gear vs the snacks, however, this being a sample box it makes more sense to have the snacks.  Overall, I would say the level of quality shown in this box was promising. All the items were curated to do what they intended which is helping busy women lead a healthy lifestyle.
