After seeing what came in last quarter’s box, I was pretty pumped to get the Summer 2020 box from Desk Stash! Office supplies seem like the last thing on earth someone would be excited about. However, here I am, and I’m excited! After taking a quick peek at the themed insert, I am ready to dive into this box.
Little Big Fan – Retail Value $20.00
This little fan is as handy as it is adorable. Highs in the 100s and no air conditioning at home had me thinking about risking it all to go into the office. Lucky for me Desk Stash knew just what would bring me back to reality. Now I can stay in the safety of my home while also staying cool. I have even been using this fan in my room at night and it gives off the perfect breeze to keep me comfortable. And the fan is quiet, so it doesn’t disturb my work or my sleep. Props to Desk Stash for including such a unique and handy item in their box!
Focus Cloth, Eyechart – Retail Value $14.00
Off the bat, this microfiber cloth didn’t grab my attention. With so many other amazing products in the box, I quickly moved past it. That is until I tested the cloth for the first time on my phone. Wow! I have a few different cleaning cloths for my electronics and none of them work exceptionally well. This one is different though, it actually cleans smudges off like magic. My phone looked brand new. I was so stoked, I quickly moved from cleaning my phone to all of my sunglasses, laptop, iPad, and TV. Something came over me, and I liked it. Plus, I noticed they make different themed ones, to include donuts and even pizza.
Do-Overs, Erasable Highlighters – Retail Value $10.99
How have I never heard of these erasable highlighters? While I was focused on making the unboxing video, my son quickly snagged these and started doodling and then using the eraser side to create fun designs. I was delighted that they actually worked really well. If you are looking for a cool back to school gift for a teacher, these would be perfect.
Vinylux, LP Record Journal – Retail Value $17.00
A few weeks before my box came, Desk Stash had sent an email and I was able to choose from a list of artists. It is little touches like that that make me fall in love with Desk Stash. They could have very easily shipped out the random journals to each subscriber and hope that they would like it. But instead, they took the time to let us pick which one we wanted. I have to admit, I didn’t know some of the artists and went with the first one that I recognized. The product itself is a high-quality pocket journal. And I love that Vinylux has found a fun way to upcycle old LP.
Send-A-Sound Mix Tape – Retail Value $9.99
Let me start by saying I have tremendous Mom guilt right now. After showing this amazing product to my son, he asked me what it is supposed to be. Yes, my son didn’t know what a cassette was. So after a quick history lesson, we quickly moved on to recording messages for each other. His were on the more creative side, something about a secret meeting point for later that night. Mine was on the mushy side with lots of “I love you”s. We played with this tape for over an hour the first day we had it. We both love it so much that we are ordering a few more to send out to friends and family. Hands down, this is my favorite item in the box. It is so unique and super fun.
Forest Animal Magnets – Retail Value $8.00
I wasn’t sure how these adorable magnets fit the theme of this box. But I really didn’t mind, since they are so perfect for me. To be honest, I jokingly refer to myself as the real-life Snow White. My love for wild animals, coupled with my extremely pale skin makes it easily believable. These are the perfect addition to bring back to my office, once we get the return to work order. I was pleasantly surprised at the heavy quilty feel of these tiny magnets.
Color TV Sticky Memo Pad & Frame – Retail Value $7.00
How cute is this sticky note pad? I love that the colored notes look like the bars on an old tv. And at first glance, I didn’t even notice the bottom grey line is a sticky note too! To make it even cooler, once the notes are gone, I can use the tv has a frame. Talk about inventive. Another unique item to round out this incredible box.
Overall Thoughts
I am simply blown away by Desk Stash. Every item is super unique and not at all what I would expect to get in an office supply subscription box. After reading Noelle’s review last season, I knew it wouldn’t be boring office supplies however I had no idea how rad this box would be. The retro theme was curated perfectly and they took the time to pick products that were high quality while also sticking to the fun theme. The products are items I will use for a long time and I know they will stand the test of time. My six-year-old son even loved the box, and he isn’t one that gets excited about sub boxes that aren’t for him. He asked that I get a box to gift his teacher since he thinks she will love everything in the box just as much as we did. Seriously, do yourself a favor and head to the Desk Stash website.
