I am absolutely loving the packaging on this month’s lingerie set by Empress Mimi. The details are so vibrant and enchanting! I personally love butterflies and the mix of the vivid pinks, purples, and cool tone blues really captures the eye. This subscription box is always dreamy to receive because it’s not only something I normally do not receive but, it has gorgeous lingerie in it that makes me feel beautiful about myself.
As you can see above this box’s theme is “Madame X”. Madame X is a tribute to a butterfly and a beautiful goddess named Psyche. I really do not know much about greek mythology or gods/goddesses so I love how the insert has a backstory. It’s not just a random piece but, there’s a great story that comes along with the garments. My favorite part is “While we cannot fly, we can avoid getting stuck in uncomfortable situations by simply assuming the attitude of a butterfly and like Psyche, gently fluttering to the next thing that entices you…” Very well said.
The bra piece of this is very lovely. It reminds me of another piece that’s been in a previous box. While it truly is a lingerie and doesn’t offer the support I would need, it’s just comfortable and fun to wear.
Take a look at the detail on this – the butterfly is super pretty and the stitching design goes along well with it. While trying this on I began to notice a couple of loose strings on the piece but, I cut them off after I took it off. No big deal. Also, Empress Mimi offers very easy returns and exchanges so if this was an issue it would be very simple to fix.
The bottom piece is not exactly a cut I find flattering on myself. I don’t really like the shape of my body though. I still really like all the details and the design of them. In the last picture above, I love the gold butterfly! Small details such as that one really add something to the piece.
Here’s the full piece together. Between all the butterfly details and the soft materials, once again, I really enjoyed having this sent to me. I need a lot of work when it comes to body positivity so I’m glad I got this in the mail this month to remind me I’m beautiful no matter how I’m feeling about my body or what anyone says.
Overall Thoughts
Overall, this month was very fun. I mention this a lot but, this subscription is a really fun one to receive! Speaking personally, I never buy lingerie so why not get something different in the mail every month that can bring out your inner goddess? It appears Empress Mimi’s subscription tiers look a little different so please see that new information below.
One thing I personally enjoy about Empress Mimi is the variety. With all the different themes that they create, there is sure to be something fun and exciting each month to receive! I do highly recommend this subscription box and this would also be a fabulous gift to get your significant other for a birthday, holiday, or just because.
