The artwork on the FabFitFun boxes is always beautiful and really sets a tone for the whole box. I also like the magazine that is included in each box. It shows all the various products that are available for customization as well as the items that all subscribers will receive. If you are new to FabFitFun, I want to point out that they allow annual subscribers to choose between items in order to customize their boxes. Please note, we will only be reviewing the products that we received in our box. Inside the magazine, there are all kinds of tips and tricks for using the items within the box. I found that super helpful in this box since a lot of the items were for skincare.
I will start with the products that all subscribers will receive.
AHAVA Hydration Cream Mask – Retail Value $33
Winter weather is incredibly drying so it was perfect to have received this hydration mask in this season’s box. I have tried a few products from Ahava in the past and have always been really happy with the results they provided so I was excited to try this item. For the first application, I left on the mask for about four minutes and then rinsed it off and didn’t notice a dramatic improvement in my skin. I let a few days pass and then decided to try again and this time I left it on all night. I could tell the next morning my skin was very hydrated. The best part was that this product didn’t make my skin break out and I didn’t feel like I was greasy from using it.
Mark & Graham Colorblock Throw – Retail Value: $49
With winter comes all things warm and cozy so I was pretty excited to get this soft throw in this season’s box. It is made out of 100% acrylic and is not only incredibly soft, but it is also very lightweight. I have used this product every single night since I received it and am in love. The only downfall is that it is hand-wash only and there was a little bit of a weird smell to it when first unpacked. I let it air out on a sunny day and the smell seems to have subsided. This blanket measures 50”w x 60”h and is the perfect size for both me and my 4-year-old son to cuddle under.
BLAQ Hydrogel Eye Masks (Qty 5) – Retail Value $29
Eye masks are also a welcomed product and I have been wanting to try this brand. These charcoal masks are so cooling and I definitely noticed a reduction in my puffiness. I plan on adding these into my future self-care Sunday routines.
Thrive Causemetics – Brilliant Eye Brightener – Retail Value $24
Since I’m not huge on makeup, I wasn’t sure what this product was for. While doing some research on how to use the eye brightener, I found myself on the Thrive Causemetics website and their mission statement is also truly inspiring! See below for an excerpt:

I haven’t quite mastered all the uses for this item, however, I really like using it on my waterline and also the corners of my eyes. The highlighter goes on very smooth and compliments my skin tone very well. Also, the built-in sharpener on the bottom of the case is very convenient. I look forward to playing with this product more in the future.
Moving on to the items that could be customized by select members. These items were chosen by myself before the box shipped.
Moroccan Gold Series – Hair Treatment Mask – Retail Value: $49
This is the best thing to happen to my hair in years! I have notoriously dry and brittle hair, especially in the winter. I started using weekly masks about a year ago and while the ones I have tried seemed to help a little they are of no comparison to this treatment mask. The formula is very thick and easy to use. It doesn’t slide off my hand when going to apply it. I have used it two times and each time my hair was incredibly smooth and shiny for days. I also love the container since there will be zero wasted product. This is my new go-to hair treatment.
Oribe – Gold Lust Dry Shampoo – Retail Value: $44
Another way I try to help my brittle hair is by skipping washes to let the natural oils repair some of the past damage. I have tried several dry shampoos to help me get through the days I skip washes and this is the best one I have ever tried. First off it is very lightweight and didn’t leave any residue. If you know anything about dry shampoo it is that at least 75% of them leave behind a white residue that needs to be brushed out. I personally don’t have time to mess with all that and am always happy to find a product that doesn’t leave that dreaded residue behind. Another thing that I loved about this product is the scent which is very mild and went unnoticed by myself moments after spraying. I have used this product three times and each time my hair looked and felt clean the entire day. Because of the price I can’t see myself buying this in the future, however, it is amazing and might let myself splurge on it here and there.
PUR Cosmetics – Be Your Selfie Palette – Retail Value $36
This is my first experience with a PUR Cosmetics palette so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Upon opening it I loved the shades and all the sparkle. I played with each color a few times and each time wasn’t thrilled with the results. It was quite messy compared to palettes that I currently use and the pigment was rather hard to blend. Also, it seemed like I was having to layer the shades, three times in some cases, in order for them to show up on my very light skin. I’m not a makeup expert so it might just be that I’m not using this palette correctly, however, I can’t say that I was a fan of this product.
WAY OF WILL Elevate Essential Oil Set – Retail Value $31
I have two main uses for essential oils, making a sugar scrub for personal use or adding a few drops to my wool laundry balls to freshen my laundry. I knew these scents would be perfect for each of those uses so decided to choose them in the customization. They both smell great and I can’t wait to make a fresh batch of sugar scrub!
Whish – Firming Sleep Mask – Retail Value: $54
During customization, there was an option to pick two products (I believe it was coasters or a workout gadget but can’t be certain) or get a mystery item. Since the other two choices didn’t interest me I opted for the mystery item and I am sure glad that I did. I’m at the age where I’m starting to notice fine lines and wrinkles creeping up on me. I am not opposed to looking my age, however, if I can slow it down a little bit I wouldn’t complain either. I have used this firming mask three nights and each time I woke up with softer and more firm skin. The mask goes on very smooth, doesn’t have a strong fragrance and has a nice cooling effect. Also, I haven’t experienced any sort of breakouts which is incredible given my extremely sensitive skin.
Overall
There are times when I’m looking at the spoilers or customization options and I am underwhelmed and unsure that I will like the upcoming season’s box. However every time I get my FabFitFun box I remember the reason I am a long-time subscriber. I always find at least a few new products that I fall in love with. These are products that I would normally not pay retail for since there would be a risk I wouldn’t like them. So being able to test the products and then feeling confident in order more is a huge factor in why I choose to stay with FabFitFun.
