Perfect Silk Beauty Set For Hair – Retail Value: $94
I can’t go a day without seeing heatless curls featured on my TikTok FYP. At one point I attempted the legging method, but my hair was left more frizzy than curly. After hearing that silk could fix that issue, I knew I needed to give the LILYSILK Heatless Curler. This Silk Beauty Set for Hair included the Heatless Curler (with scrunchies), a Momme Charmeuse Sleeping Cap, and a Momme Charmeuse Silk Pillowcase. Basically, I was set up for success with this set.
The first thing I noticed when using the Heatless Curler was how soft it was. The fabric felt comfortable on my head and left me feeling like I wasn’t wearing anything at all. The Heatless Curler is so easy to use. I started by adding a little smoothing oil to my hair, twisted sections around the curler, and secured my ends with the included scrunchies. Last, I added the sleeping cap to ensure it all stayed in place and left my hair wrapped for 3 hours. My curls came out softer than expected. But after looking back on some pictures of myself, I realized that my hair could have been wrapped much tighter. That being said, after using this set my hair was silkier than ever and frizz-free!—I am a true believer!
The Momme’s Terse Envelope Silk Pillowcase and Momme Sleeping Cap were the perfect finishing touch for my silk experience! High-quality charmeuse silk promotes hair and skin health and has been recommended by dermatologists and makeup artists for years. Plus, it felt so lovely against my skin: soft, smooth, and cool all night. This easy swap has been a game-changer for my skin and hair! The pillowcase was such a hit in my house that I need to order more—otherwise, there will be fights over who gets it.
Short Sleeve Round Neck Silk Tee – Retail Value: $89
The tee is perfect for when you want to look casual yet sophisticated. Made of 90% Mulberry Silk and 10% Spandex, which is both lightweight and stretchy, giving me the ability to move freely while still maintaining a tailored look. The silk felt incredibly soft against my skin, not scratchy or stiff like some other silk shirts that I’ve tried. It also didn’t stick to my body like synthetic fabrics tend to.
In addition to its great fit, this shirt has cap sleeves with turnups that add a little bit of flair to an otherwise classic design. This shirt pairs well with jeans or slacks for an outfit that is sure to stand out. The only downside is that the fabric is delicate, so professional dry cleaning is recommended. However, LILYSILK does have care instructions that can be used in place of dry cleaning.
Overall
In the past, I have avoided silk because I was too intimidated by the care instructions. But it was a positive experience. The tee has elevated my wardrobe and I enjoyed learning how to properly care for it (like a REAL adult). Which in turn also made me feel more confident about my appearance and my domestic skills. And the Hair Set has been life-changing. I have never been able to get my hair to stay in place, even with the help of hairspray. I can’t believe what a difference the smoothing silk has made for me.
