MindWander is curated by Dr. Sarah, a therapist that has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and over 10 years of experience working with anxiety and depression. As someone who has struggled at one point with both, and another mental healthier disorder, this box really spoke to my heart.
With all the craziness the world is going through right now, I find myself slipping into more negative thoughts lately. I definitely don’t do it on purpose but, I find it hard not to somedays. This box was very much welcomed because of that.
One thing that I really love about MindWander is the mini-workbook that comes in the box (Retail Value $5). It contains so many details about not just what’s in the box but, how to apply them to create real-life healthy habits.
As you can see this month’s theme is called ‘Dream’ and is all about creating healthy sleep habits. I will be the first to admit I do not have a lot of healthy sleep habits. I probably was doing the opposite of everything you were NOT supposed to do prior to getting this box.

Here’s a couple of some of the workbook information. As you can see there’s plenty of great information on how to change your habits to allow better sleep habits and to end insomnia. I wouldn’t say that I have insomnia but, I definitely have days during the month where I very much struggle to find sleep. I worry a lot and wake up feeling exhausted. This month, I decided I was going to change those terrible habits for the better! Let’s see what else was included in this month’s box as well.
Journal Prompt Card Pack (Retail Value $5)
This month included these journal prompt cards to help you think about your current sleep habits & strategies. The cards are designed to help you think not only about how you could improve or change unhealthy sleep habits but, to help decrease anxiety or worries that may be preventing sleep from occurring at night. Included were also different activities to complete to incorporate healthy sleep habits. The cards offered a fresh take on how to continue to use and build new habits as well. I really enjoyed these because there was a good variety of different things to think about. It’s one thing to know you need to change a habit, but, it’s another thing to put the work behind it and continue and not allow yourself to slip back into unhealthy habits.
Hardcover Travel-Sized Notebook (Retail Value $4)
I love items like this because I am a total note taker. If I write something down, it helps me remember things much easier. I’m also a note taker and love jotting down lists and crossing them off as I go through my day. It was also nice that MindWander put this in the box so that way I could also use this for my journal prompts. I put it beside my bed so I could write all my thoughts down every night before I fell asleep.
Habit Tracker + Habit Stickers (Retail Value $3)

I thought this activity was important to include in the box. It’s one thing to do something once or twice but, it takes repetition to really make something a habit. The goal of this activity is to track your progress on habits you want to include in your daily routine. I chose two habits. My first habit is to use the journal prompts every day and the other habit I decided to track this month, even though it didn’t have anything to do was sleep, involved not touching my face. I have a terrible habit (or had I can now say!) of picking my nails. Once I pick them I will bite off pieces of my nail. Yes, it’s SO gross and with all the germs floating around and COVID-19 now integrated into our lives, I knew enough is enough; I can’t do this anymore. So every day I did not pick at my nails, I put a sticker on my habit tracker. The first two weeks were tough but, now I no longer feel the urge to pick at my nails. To reward myself I allowed myself to splurge on some of my favorite nail polish at Ulta. This was a total win-win situation for me.
“Dream” Lavendar & Vanilla Linen Spray(Retail Value $15)
I don’t really use linen sprays often but, this was very much welcomed. I love the smell of lavender and could use it all the time. I sprayed my sheets and my blanket with this every few days or until the smell started to fade. It was a very comforting scent to me and I guess I can’t say for sure if it helped me fall asleep easier or faster but, the smell alone really did calm me down. This spray is a MindWander exclusive from Hued Shoppe + Botanica which is really cool!
Fairytale Tea from Simplicity Teas (Retail Value $6)
Unfortunately, I have not sampled this tea yet but, the smell of it is quite pleasant. I can’t seem to locate my loose tea infuser but, hoping I can get my hands on one soon so I can sample this out. I always find a warm cup of tea to be so soothing to the soul and I have no doubts this one will be the same.
Lavender Honey Lip Balm from Hope + Hive (Retail Value $3)
Even though spring is here, I still find my lips to be dry and chapped. I hate this feeling so I was so excited this month included a lip balm. I’m also really obsessed and love the smell of this lip balm. This particular blend, if applied prior to bedtime, helps the lips not only hydrate but, also offers relaxation. The founder & owner of this company has a passion for helping others and this month, her company is providing donations to Brenner’s Children’s Hospital, which is located in Winston-Salem, NC. I love organizations that donate and give back to others since this is also important to me.
Balm Shell Cleanser – Retail Value $42

This product is a huge hit for me. I love that my skin felt so smooth after using this. It removes all my makeup (and if you know me, I wear a bunch of products every day) and it didn’t make my face feel tight or dry after using. I wasn’t sure if I would be a huge fan of this after seeing it contained blossoms from bitter orange trees. For some reason, citrus smells can indue migraines for me but, luckily this did not do that at all and I can happily use this in my nighttime routine.
Gemstone Organix Lullaby Elixir (Retail Value $20)
This product is also another one of my favorites. Even though this is a calming perfume, I could see myself wearing this all the time. Something about the combinations of the different ingredients and smells just seems to work for me and I’ve become obsessed with this smell. I also love that it’s vegan and cruelty-free which is very important to me as well. Use code MindWander15 to save 15% off your order!
Moon + Constellation Sticky Note Set (Retail Value $3)
I found this sticky notes to be adorable. I plan to use them at work once I’m back in the office. I love putting sticky notes on my computer to jog my memory or to remind myself of things to do. As mentioned above, I’m a total list maker and writing things down really helps me remember important dates and other items.
Overall Thoughts
Overall, this month’s box packed a lot of items in it that helped me really think about healthier sleep habits. Between the cleansing balm, the journal prompts, and more, it really did help me think about ways I can help myself build better sleep habits. I am in complete control of how I approach my lifestyle habits. I may not be able to control some of my anxiety due to the current situation the world is facing but, I have a lot of new items to help me at least get a good night’s sleep. MindWander also includes so much helpful information in their box. I like that they really curate each month to stick to a theme and offer a ton of different products for people to use to gain new and healthy lifestyle habits. If you’re struggling at all in your life and need something to help you with self-care each month, I absolutely recommend this box. It contains so much helpful information. I also believe everyone deserves something to treat themselves with each month, so why not make this yours?
