This box was huge. I don’t know what I was expecting, but this far exceeded it. While I like the minimalistic style of the box, the black part was all but destroyed in transit which made it look faded. Needless to say, I was still stoked to rip open the box and dig into the contents.
Vooray, Burner Gym Duffel – Retail Value $49.99
This duffel bag is my favorite item in the box and goes far beyond my expectation of a typical gym bag. The overall design of this bag is one that has me “shook”. This bag has a few fabulous features including; a padded phone pocket, mesh water bottle pocket, ventilated shoe pocket, and a waterproof base. It also features magnetic handles which are magic and something I didn’t know I need until now. Additionally, I love the camo print since that is so in right now. My son tried to claim this for himself, but I adore it so much I had to stand my ground on this one!
T3, Smooth Paddle Brush – Retail Value $35
I have been in need of a new brush for quite some time, so was thrilled that one was included in this season’s box. I really like the look of this brush; the white and rose gold accents are simple yet chic. The handle has a really nice grip too. The bristles are heat resistant, so I have been trying to use it while I blow dry my hair. However, for me, it is a bit bulky to use at the same time I’m blow drying my hair.
Anna New York, Vola Lucite Clock – Retail Value: $85
I like the idea of getting a cute little clock for my desk, however, I’m not really digging the style of this one. Personally, as cliche, as it is right now, I’m into more of the rustic and farm type decor so this clock doesn’t fit in with my style. I did however really like the saying etched in the bottom which reads “Your time is now”. I might end up gifting this clock to a friend that recently got a promotion as it is more her style.
Osea, Ocean Cleanser – Retail Value: $48
If you have read many of my reviews, you know that I have extremely sensitive skin. For that reason, I am always hesitant to try new ones. Osea features products that are made with natural and organic ingredients, so I tend to trust that they won’t affect my skin. This cleanser left my skin squeaky clean and feeling refreshed. I didn’t notice a break out while using this product either which is always a huge plus for me.
Manduka, 4-Inch Headband – Retail Value: $3
At first sight, this headband reminded me of a cut off t-shirt sleeve. However, I used it several times this past week while washing my face and also applying my make up. This is an item that I didn’t think I would use, but have fallen in love with.
Kris Nations, Opalescent Moon Necklace – Retail Value: $68
Now that my son is older and not ripping at everything that is shiny, I have been trying to wear more jewelry. I do tend to like delicate jewelry so this necklace is perfect for me. The opal insets in this necklace give it a really unique look. I don’t think I would have chosen the moon pendant for myself, however, I like the look of it.
Missio Hair, Styling Cream – Retail Value: $26
I have been looking for a new styling cream to help my frizzy hair. Again, the sensitive skin issue comes into play with hair products since my hair is constantly in my face. On a typical day, I blow dry and flat iron my hair, which is not only terrible for my hair but also a huge time drain. This cream worked really well and I was able to style my hair by simply blowdrying it. Another plus is the smell of this cream; it is so fresh and reminds me of summer! It didn’t seem to break out my skin either. I think I will continue to buy this product in the future!
Truwomen, Daydreaming About Donuts Protein Bar – Retail Value: $2.49
I tried this protein bar in a previous review of the Half It subscription box and was excited to get another one. Who doesn’t love donuts? I mean they are the comfort food that I long for on a sleepy Sunday morning. While this bar wasn’t the real thing, the flavor was pretty close to a glazed donut. I really like that it was plant-based protein too since I didn’t taste any chalky powder taste that is typical of protein bars.
Special Extras
Yogi, Green Tea Passion Fruit Matcha Tea
I always enjoy having tea on hand so this is a great extra item. I like that this was a full box of tea vs just one or two tea bags thrown into the box. Also, since this has caffeine it’s the perfect pick me up on a rainy afternoon.
Pronamel, Intensive Enamel Repair
I hadn’t tried this toothpaste before. I used it a few times so far and like it ok. It is hard to get excited over toothpaste. However, sometimes it’s nice to get items that I will use day to day.
Overall
The price point of this box is well beyond any others that we have reviewed to date. The retail value of the contents (not counting the extras) is $317.48, which is remarkable for a $75 box. Not everything included in the PopSugar Must Have box was my style. However, there were enough items in the box that I loved to make purchasing this box worth wild. Since all the items in the box were of extremely high-quality l know that the items I can’t use will make wonderful gifts. Based solely off the size and quality of this box, it would make a great gift for anyone that you want to “wow”, including yourself. I may end up signing up for another quarter of this box depending on spoilers that I see for the Summer Box.
