I recently decided to try out Rocksbox. This service allows you to borrow three pieces of jewelry at a time and swap them out as often as you like each month by using the pre-paid shipping label they send along with your initial box. Plus, you have the option to “wishlist” pieces once per period for free. I’m not one that wears a lot of accessories. However, with the “return to normal” pushing me back out into public I wanted to step up my fashion. Let’s dive into my experience with Rocksbox!
How does the RocksBox Jewelry Rental Work?
When I initially signed up, they had styled 3 pieces for me based on a short questionnaire. But I noticed there was a way to swap out the pieces and PICK what I would get in my box. I could also “wishlist” items that I want to get in future deliveries. The jewelry in the collection ranges in style and price, so there’s something for everyone. Once you have the jewelry picked out your box ships to you for free and takes about 3 days to arrive. After wearing the pieces you have a decision to make…do you keep it and use the $21 credit toward buying it….or do you send it back to borrow a new set of 3 pieces? The choice is yours. If you decided to send it back, there is an included shipping label and you can reuse the bubble mailer that the box came in.
My May Jewelry Rental
Since I’m not one to typically accessorize, I don’t tend to have a lot of jewelry laying around for the times that I DO want to wear it. Therefore, my favorite part of RocksBox has been being able to select the items that will be sent to me each month. I’m able to think about events that are coming up and plan my pieces around my potential outfits. See the gallery below which shows my first set. I adore the pink necklace, it was lightweight but still made a bold statement with a basic black tank. My favorite piece was the teardrop bracelet which I wore almost every day in May. The way it adjusted made it super easy for me to put it on myself. And I really liked how it sparkled in the sunlight. I wanted to love the ring because it is so cute, but it didn’t end up looking great on my hand.
Every piece that I received was high quality and something that I wanted to wear IRL. Being able to pick the items is hands down the best part about this subscription! All three pieces ended up being sent back to RocksBox but I was so happy to be able to add some flair to my wardrobe this month.
Overall
I really enjoyed my first jewelry rental from RocksBox and I already got my second box in the mail (in time for this review no less!). See the photo below for a sneak peek of what I picked out for June. If you’re a jewelry lover and want to collect a variety of pieces without having to buy them all, Rocksbox is a wonderful option. You can rent jewelry as long as you want and swap out your jewelry box whenever you’d like. The pieces are unique and high quality, plus it was so fun getting to try new things out before deciding what to buy. You should definitely give it a try.
