Spring Refresh for Busy Moms Who Don’t Have Time to Shop (My Honest Stitch Fix Experience)
If you’re anything like me, the idea of a spring wardrobe refresh for busy moms sounds great…but actually finding time to shop? Not happening.
Between work, kids, and everything else, I don’t have the time (or energy) to walk around stores trying things on. And ordering a bunch of random stuff online usually just ends in returns.
I’ve been putting off buying new clothes for way too long because nothing ever fits quite right anymore, and I don’t have the patience to deal with it.
So I decided to delegate the work to Stitch Fix for a simple spring refresh.

If you have been putting off updating your closet, you can try Stitch Fix here and see what they pick for you.
Why I Tried Stitch Fix
I wanted a few easy pieces that I could throw on and feel put together without overthinking it. Something that works for real life… school drop-offs, errands, playdates, and the occasional day at the office.
What pulled me in was how simple it is:
- You fill out a quick style quiz
- A stylist picks pieces for you based on your size, style, and budget
- Everything shows up at your door
No digging through racks. No guessing sizes.

What I Got in My Fix
I ended up getting 5 pieces, and this Fix felt like a really solid everyday lineup:
- Eva Mineral Wash Fleece Sweatshirt (super soft, easy throw-on piece)
- Stretch Relaxed Skinny Jeans
- Short Sleeve Fleece Sweatshirt (perfect for that in-between weather)
- Perfect Tee Remix
- Raya Mid Rise Cigarette Jeans
I was not expecting to keep everything, but once I tried it all on at home with my own additions, it just made sense. Everything felt wearable for real life, not just “cute on a model.”
Also worth noting, if you keep all 5 items you get a discount, which made the total feel a lot more reasonable.

This ended up being a full outfit rotation that I can wear on repeat.
What I Liked (and Didn’t)
What I liked:
- I didn’t have to think about putting outfits together, it was just done for me
- The pieces fit my life, not just a Pinterest version of it
- Trying everything on at home made it way easier to decide what to keep
- I was able to exchange for different sizes free of charge

What surprised me:
- Stitch Fix sent me a preview of the items BEFORE they shipped so that I could veto some of the options and they could swap them out
- I ended up keeping all 5 pieces, which I did not expect
- The jeans were comfortable (which is rare for me since giving birth to my twins)
What I didn’t love:
- You’re not going to love every single thing every time unless you give good feedback
- It works best if you’re honest about what you like and don’t like
How Stitch Fix Works
It’s pretty simple:
- Fill out your style quiz
- A stylist sends you 5 items based on your preferences
- Try everything on at home
- Keep what you love and send back the rest
- You only pay for what you keep, and shipping both ways is covered
There’s no subscription required, which I like. You can order a Fix when you want one.
You can take your style quiz here and get started.
Who Stitch Fix Is Good For: Busy Moms
If you:
- Don’t have time to shop
- Hate trying things on in stores
- Want to look more put together without thinking about it
Then this is a really easy option. It takes the mental load out of shopping, which is half the battle for me.
Bonus: Kids Options
Since I have 3 kids, I also looked into the kids side of Stitch Fix, and it’s the same idea. You can get styled boxes for them without dragging them through stores or guessing sizes online.
For busy moms, this could be a huge time saver for seasonal updates, holidays, or just keeping up with how fast they grow.
Final Thoughts
For me, this felt like a realistic way to do a spring refresh without adding more to my plate. I ended up with a few easy outfits I can feel confident wearing, which is exactly what I needed. If you’ve been stuck wearing the same things on repeat because you don’t have the time to shop, this is the easiest way that I’ve found to just fix it without overthinking.
