Unboxing

Inserts + Fun Extras

If you haven’t heard of Tea Drops before now, you have been missing out.  We first tried their tea over a year ago when we received their product in another subscription box.  I instantly fell in love with the convenience and taste of their teas.  So when they reached out to us to review their subscription box, it was a no brainer!  When the box arrived, I noticed the theme was centered around desserts and instantly knew this was THE box for me.  If you’ve seen my previous reviews, then you know I have a major sweet tooth.  The idea of drinking a dessert tea vs devouring a dessert seems like a win-win.  I also immediately saw that this month Tea Drops had collaborated with Coolhaus, which is an ice cream company that I have never heard of.  However, after perusing their website, I’m excited to try out their yummy product!

Teas

The March box included three teas from the Tea Drops Dessert Collection, Strawberry Shortcake, Ginger Peach Cobbler, and Orange Cinnamon Roll.  I liked that the included teas gave me a choice of caffeine-free or caffeine.

I started with sampling the Strawberry Shortcake on a chilly afternoon.  While the flavor wasn’t as nearly photogenic as I thought it would be, it made up for it in taste.  If you have had a strawberry shortcake before, that is exactly what this tea tastes like.  I honestly didn’t think that would be possible for a tea, but here it is.  Next up, I tried out the Ginger Peach Cobbler.  Now, I love ginger and peach, and now I love this tea too.  Hands down the Ginger Peach Cobbler was my favorite tea I have ever tried before.  It won’t be long until I order more of this flavor from Tea Drops!  My last tasting was the Orange Cinnamon Roll.  I really liked the strong cinnamon flavor and the orange left a nice aftertaste in my mouth.  Overall I really liked each flavor of tea included in this month’s box.  The only thing that is a little off-putting to me is the sediment that is left at the bottom of the cup.  However, after my first cup, I learned to let it settle to the bottom and simply not drink that part.

Overall

I am a huge fan of Tea Drops, and their teas.  The flavors taste great and are super convenient to use.  I really like they are individually wrapped too since it made the perfect little gift to leave on my co-workers’ desks.  For $30, subscribers receive 15 Tea Drops and an exclusive gift each month.  While initially $2 per cup seems a bit steep, I think the added gift helps offset the price a bit.  I haven’t made it to the store to locate the pint of Coolhaus, however online it looks like a pint sells for $12!  So needless to say, that coupon for a free pint will be very much welcomed in the coming Summer months.  Overall, I think this is a great box for any tea lovers out there.  I also think it would make the perfect gift, in fact, I happen to know my son’s teacher loves tea, so I will keep this idea on hand for Teacher’s Appreciation Day!
