Today we are reviewing a box that we think a lot of our readers will appreciate.  The Winston Box delivers a monthly curation of 2-3 pieces of Big and Tall Men’s clothing pieces.  They offer shirt sizes up to a 6XL and waist sizes up to 64 inches.  While I’m not a “big and tall man”, I know plenty of men that would benefit from this type of subscription.  Let’s be honest, there aren’t many stores that cater to this part of our population.  Therefore the stores that do, are able to charge more money than they should be for the larger sizes of clothes.  The Winston Box is working to help bring the prices down and select pieces that most men will love to receive.

New subscribers fill out a very brief style profile with preferred sizes, styles, and colors.  Then The Winston Box will use that information to curate a personalized box of 2-3 items.  Since we are reviewing the box, and are not current subscribers, we didn’t fill out a style profile so were sent a box of clothing that would fit about a 3XL.  So, what came in our box?

Short-Sleeve Henley – Retail Value: $39.99

This t-shirt was the first item I pulled out of the box, and it was also my favorite.  I love the clean, simple, look of the shirt and the color is fabulous too!  But the best thing is the material.  This shirt is so soft, I could live in it!

Collared Shirt – Retail Value: $59.99

While I can’t say this collared shirt is a style that I would pick out for the man in my life, I am in love with the color.  I do know a few people that would love the pattern on the pocket though.  This is a pretty unique shirt that I wouldn’t expect to see in the store.  Also, the overall quality of the material is top-notch, so that is a huge plus.

Stretch Denim Jeans – Retail Value: $89.99

Personally, I am a huge fan of stretch jeans.  They offer so much more flexibility over traditional denim that I appreciate.  I like the simple look of these jeans, the lighter stitching offers just enough detail to make them stand out a bit too.  Another thing that I really liked, is the care instructions listed.  Nothing is worse than getting new jeans that color bleed all over the place with no warning,  It is always nice to have a reminder about raw denim!

Overall

This is a hard box for me to give a solid overall opinion on since I am not their target audience.  I haven’t had to shop for the Big and Tall sizes, therefore I can’t say that I’m an expert on pricing these types of items.  I did a little research on different stores for the sizes that came in our box and there is such a huge difference in prices depending on what store you are ordering from.  That makes it very difficult to review the value of this box.  What I can say, however, is that The Winston Box is offering something unique with its service, which I welcome.  And to top it off the articles of clothing are very high quality.  What are your thoughts?  Have you tried The Winston Box before?
