I like that FabFitFun sends out a mini-magazine in each box. It shows all the various products that are available for customization as well as the items that all subscribers will receive. If you are new to FabFitFun, I want to point out that they allow annual subscribers to choose between items in order to customize their boxes. Please note, we will only be reviewing the products that we received in our box.
I will start with the products that all subscribers will receive.
Luna Rica Bar – Salted Caramel Nut – Retail Value: $1.75
Once I am officially done with Keto, I will be stocking up on these delicious bars. One of my other favorite (non-keto) bars is the Lemon Zest Luna Bar. I figured this bar would have the same quality as the lemon bar that they make, however, this bar is even better and has a different texture from the dates that are incorporated.
Beauty Blender – Retail Value $19.95
So I know I am probably late to the beauty game with this, however, this is the first time that I have heard of or tried this amazing blender. I have bought sponge blenders in the past that were ok, but they always left foundation streaks behind. The beauty blender is easy to use, even for me, just wet it and bounce on any foundation (liquid or powder). This is the single best beauty product that I own and I am so excited to be on the streak-free train now!
GlamGlow BubbleSheet (Qty 2) – Retail Value: $18
Included in our box were two BubbleSheet masks. I tried this fun bubbly mask on a Sunday night in preparation for a long week. I liked how the foam stayed on my face even after taking off the mask. I was able to rub those in for some extra cleaning. While I can’t say that my face showed a huge difference, it felt very clean and refreshed after using the mask. I am excited to use the other one to see if I notice much of a difference the second time around. Face masks are always a fun item to get in a sub box and this one was pretty exciting to watch.
Simply Whimsical Tea Towels – Retail Value $14.99
You know you have reached full adulthood when kitchen towels excite you. I was actually just looking to buy some new tea towels last week, so these came at a good time. The color and pattern of these towels fit perfectly with my decor and I love the texture of them. My husband even commented on the quality of these. I think I will actually order a few more of these towels once they are restocked on the website.
Skin & Co Roma – Blue in Capri Shower Gel – Retail Value $22
While I was glad to give this shower gel a try, I can’t say that it will be a new staple in my home. The smell is pretty, very floral/herbal. I am not a huge fan of floral scents. However, I will keep this in my bathroom as a treat for guests to enjoy. The gel gets a nice lather to it and while the scent is strong while using it, it doesn’t linger throughout the day like I thought it would.
Moving on to the items that could be customized by select members. These items were chosen by myself before the box shipped.
Alfred Tea Pot – FabFitFun Limited Edition – Retail Value: $26
I wasn’t exactly stoked for this or the coffee press that was offered in the Fall box. My choice boiled down to this looking cute in my office and hoping that I would use it a few times this fall and winter. While it is more of a novelty that will sit on a shelf, I will, in fact, use this when I get loose leaf tea that I would like to enjoy at my desk. This teapot is sure to brighten a dark, stormy PNW day.
CYLO Cobra Bluetooth Wireless Earbuds – Retail Value: $40
As soon as our unboxing video was complete, my husband claimed this product. However, I was able to pry them from his hand long enough to test them for this review. The sound quality is pretty good for the retail price. I wasn’t a fan of the placement of the volume/microphone as it felt like it was too close to my ear. Reaching that far up to use those functions felt unnatural and I would have preferred those controls to be lower on the cord. The other thing that my husband brought up was the quality of the earbuds, he said the earpiece feels flimsy and he doesn’t think they will hold up very long. Time will tell.
Farmacy – Dew It All Total Eye Cream – Retail Value $38
This product was one I was really excited for. I have been looking at eye creams lately and this one looked intriguing. I have been using it morning and night for about a week now and feel like my eye area looks much improved. I can tell that my eyes are not as puffy and dark as they were a week prior to using this product. This is one of my favorite items in the box!
Grown Alchemist Polishing Facial Exfoliant – Retail Value $67
This exfoliant is well over the price point that I normally fork out for skincare so I was really excited to receive a full-size product. I have very sensitive skin so am always hesitant to try new products on my face. After a small test on my cheek, I exfoliated on my full face and am happy to report that it worked amazing. My skin felt so soft and clean after the first use. The great thing about this product is that it is gentle enough to use daily. I’m not sure I will be able to justify buying another tube right away, so I plan to use this once a week in order to conserve it a bit.
Crown Brush 6 Piece Brush Set – Retail Value: $75
I’m not very into makeup and I have a pretty good set of cheap brushes that I get by with, so I wasn’t super excited for this item. However, I know a few people that would be ecstatic to receive this as a gift. These brushes are beautiful, I love the rose gold details. I can’t wait to gift these to my sister in law. I know she will love them. One of the nice things about this box is getting items that I can gift to friends and family. This box is a splurge for myself, however, it feels nice to be able to share the love.
Overall
FabFitFun is still one of my favorite subscription boxes and it seems to get better with each season. Being able to customize my box is another reason that I love it so much. There are a few items that I wouldn’t have bought for myself but I am so glad that I got them. The Beauty Blender is a serious game changer and an item I would have never bought before having tried it. The Farmacy Eye Cream is another product that will be one of my new go-to beauty products. I love the fact that for less than $45 a box I get to try so many high-end products. Anyone that is looking for a box that is well worth the price should check out FabFitFun.
