After opening hundreds of subscription boxes it was pretty refreshing to open up a subscription tube.  I wasn’t sure how everything could possibly fit in the package though.  To say I was curious is an understatement!  Also, I can’t be the only one that has ideas on how to reuse the tube?  I have a million ideas already.

I love the thank you card that was included in our tube!  The bright image instantly made me feel like a goddess!  There wasn’t an insert that listed products and prices, so I have included my best guess on the retail values.

Flamingo Scarf – Estimated Retail Value: $13.99

I love this lightweight scarf that was included this month.  I’m not normally one to rock a scarf, but I could see me using this over and over!  The quality looks very nice and the colors are perfectly bright.

Hot Water Bottle – Estimated Retail Value: $12.99

I have to say that I’m pretty #blessed and don’t really get cramps during my cycle.  Even still, I thought this hot water bottle was adorable and I was able to gift it to a friend to help her get through her crampy days.

House of Good Juju, A Genie’s Dream Mist – Estimated Retail Value: $8.99

This is hands down the best item in the box.  The scent is hard to describe, but it instantly puts me in an amazing mood.  I also really like the stones that are included at the bottom of the bottle.  I tried to track down a website to buy more of this spray for gifts, but it looks like the Etsy shop might be closed at this time.

Rainbow Quartz Necklace – Retail Value: $1.00

I have seen a few necklaces like this one throughout the summer and I always love the look of them.  Personally, I thought it was a little young for me to wear, so I gave it to my little sister and she absolutely loved it.  I didn’t give much thought to the price on this particular necklace, but I noticed there are very similar ones available on Amazon for $1.

Snacks – Total Estimated Retail Value: $2.99

I was a little disappointed in the treats that came in our tube.  Only because with a period subscription I was expecting to get a girl’s best friend during that time of the month…chocolate.  Also, I noticed that the Detox mix had expired in July.  That all being said, the Cupcake Batter bar was amazing and the sucker will come in handy at some point.

Purring Buddha, Bath Bomb & Shower Steamer – Total Estimated Retail Value: $10.99

I have been wanting to try a shower steamer forever.  I hear people raving about them and figured it would be something that I would love.  The steamer included in our tube didn’t seem to work very well though.  I didn’t smell the grapefruit scent at all.  The steamer did fizz a few times here and there, but no scent was making it into the steamy shower.  The bath bomb, on the other hand, was a huge hit for my son and I.  At first, I was hesitant to use the bath bomb since the label clearly had CBD listed in more than one place, however, was marked out by a sharpie.   I’m not against the use of CBD, but without researching it, I wouldn’t feel comfortable using it together with my 5-year-old son.   Once I verify with A Genie’s Dream that it was actually just mislabeled (hence the sharpie),  my son and I were stoked to watch it do it’s thing while we held our weekly bath bomb foot soak party.

Period Supplies – Total Estimated Retail Value: $3.99

While the period supplies wouldn’t last a whole cycle, it was still nice to get a few products in the tube.  Although, since the pads aren’t labeled I couldn’t verify if they were indeed organic as A Genie’s Dream Instagram account suggests.

Overall

I could see this being the perfect box to get a young girl that is new to dealing with our lovely monthly cycles.  These products would make it bearable to deal with their period by having treats, period supplies, and self-care items to look forward to.  As a whole, I loved this subscription tube!  Yes, there were minor issues with some of the products.  However, I still feel like it was a great value for the listing price.   I think an insert with information on the products would be helpful, especially items that aren’t labeled (pads) or are mislabeled (like the bath bomb).  But again, overall I was a fan of this tube and would suggest it to our readers.
