We were sent the Spirit Box edition from Bare Terre’s variety of boxes, so our thoughts and opinions will be based solely off the products we received from this variation.

This box contained a wide assortment of beauty, wellness, snacks, and some other items to help promote calmness and spirituality within. One thing I wish that had been included in the box was a breakdown of each product, even if it was just an ongoing list.

This insert was included in the box and I liked that on the back it stated the expectations of what the box might have. However, I am one of those people that really love having all the information in front of me so again, I would have liked the breakdown of what each product was instead of just a high-level overview.

I really loved that the owner of the box took the time to include a handwritten note. I really appreciate little things like that and it adds a nice touch!

Now let’s get into what this box contained!

BEOA Australia – Texturising Hairspray

I don’t use hairspray pretty much ever. I only wash my hair maybe 2 or 3 times a week and don’t feel the need to set anything after styling my hair (which normally is blow drying & straightening with heat protectant products). When I used to airdry my hair with curl product I would use some hair spray, and feel this could have been a great product then but, unfortunately, I won’t be using it. One thing I found interesting was that it’s very difficult to Google search this product and find much information on it, which is why I did not include a price. I thought it was cool that Bare Terre included a product that’s not something I could buy every day and is unique to me. I liked the smell of this product and plan to keep it around for anyone who visits me and may need it.

By Nature – Face Masks (Coffee + Coconut Oil & Avocado Oil + Rice Protein) – Retail Value $8.00

These products come from New Zealand, so I found this to be kind of cool as well that the box contained international brands and products.  I also really love face masks so I was very excited to see these in the box. I enjoyed the coffee + coconut oil one the best because of the exfoliating factor. I definitely do not do that as much as I should so I was glad I received a product as a good reminder. I also love the smell of coffee so I couldn’t resist using this one first. The avocado oil mask was also delightful and left my face feeling amazing.

Wet n Wild Silkfinish Lipstick, Dark Pink Frost color – Retail Value $.99

I feel like Wet n Wild is such an iconic brand. I recall back in “the day” this was one of the few beauty products I could afford to buy, so they’ve kind of always held a special place in my heart. Their products have significantly improved over the years and yet, they’re still extremely affordable. I’ve been really into wearing lipsticks again, so I was really excited to get this in the box. I really liked the color of this lipstick. It left a shimmer and stayed on pretty well. I definitely had to reapply it after drinking and eating but, I think that’s pretty common with lipsticks unless of course, they’re formulas meant to stay on all day.

e.l.f. Satin Eyeliner Pencil, Navy color – Retail Value $1.00

I typically stick to liquid eyeliner just because I like the look of it more than a pencil liner but, this product was intriguing to me. Mostly because I don’t wear navy eyeliner, ever. However, it went on pretty smoothly, and I loved that it came with its own sharpener since I don’t own one.  e.l.f. Cosmetics is a cruelty-free brand which is extremely important to me when I buy products so this was a nice addition to the box and it makes me want to think of some creative looks so I can incorporate the navy blue somehow!

BH Cosmetics, Shaaanxo The Remix – Retail Value $19.00

I don’t own anything by BH Cosmetics so I was excited to see this palette in my box. Shannon Harris is a really amazing beauty guru so I knew this palette would be pretty good. One thing about this palette is that it’s super deceiving because it looks smalls, but, it contains 18 colors! I am really excited to play around in this palette in the future and create some beautiful eye looks.

Danielle, Jade Facial Roller – Retail Value $5.99

I received a facial roller in my CAUSEBOX last year and I find these to be fascinating.  Who knew such a small little contraption could improve, firm, and brighten skin?  I really need to start using mine more because I feel like I haven’t seen any benefits from it, however, I am extremely inconsistent with usage so that could be why. Since I already have one, I plan to give this to a friend to use.

e.l.f. Active, Post Workout Body Towelette – Retail Value $3.00 for 20 sheets

I have been wanting to try these towelettes for awhile after seeing an influencer on Youtube discuss them. I go to cycle classes in the mornings, and these were super beneficial to use. While I shower and wash my face before heading to work, I used one after I was done working out any way to cool off and get the sweat off my face. I felt extremely fresh and could see myself using them again for circumstances where I can’t or don’t shower right away.  I plan to purchase these in the future.

PUR Mints, Polar Mint flavor – Retail Value $2.50

I absolutely LOVED these mints. They are aspartame free which is awesome because so many mints and candies out there contain a chemical to keep them sugar-free but, in reality, it’s really no better for you than actual sugar in my opinion. I definitely plan to purchase these in the future so I can keep them around for when I need an after meal mint, or just want something to freshen up with.  The PUR company also contains some wonderful products so I think I’ll order some other varieties as well.

Profi Complete Protein, Vanilla flavor

I feel like I am not the best person to review protein shakes since I tend to find most of them not that great, and I would much rather eat my food than drink it. I found this protein powder to be pretty decent but, I would not go out of my way to buy it. However, I want to emphasize that I am not a fan of protein shakes, so I encourage our readers to research this company if they are looking for a new product!

Vega, Protein Shake in Vanilla – Retail Value $2.99

As I mentioned above, I am not that best person to review any kind of protein shakes, since I don’t really enjoy these kinds of products. However, this was actually tasted pretty decent and reminded me of similar premade shakes I’ve had before. Vanilla is not a favorite flavor of mine either.  I haven’t seen this product before in the stores, so I’m not really sure if it’s available or not in my area.

Tea of Life, English Breakfast & Green Tea flavors

I always love getting different kinds of tea in boxes. I find myself not purchasing tea very often at the grocery store so when I get a couple of new ones to try, I jump on the opportunity to try them out. I thought both of the flavors were really good and would definitely drink them again in the future. I also really love the packaging they came in. I think the design work is really cool, and that always stands out to me and makes me remember the product if I see it in stores. Since I only received these 2 in my bag, I did not include the price but, if you go to Amazon, you can purchase 20 tea bags for $12.00 USD.

Harmony Organic Tea, Matcha Green Tea Flavor

I usually enjoy loose tea much more than these kinds of products, so I always got in a bit skeptical when trying these out. However, I found this tea to be quite enjoyable. These little packets are also so convenient to put in my purse or bag and carry around for when I might want a nice hot cup of tea. I also did not include the product information for this one because I struggled to find the same product online but, I will update the review if I can more information.

Update! We found out this scrunchie is from Noth & Noble with a retail value of $14.00

This box also contained this scrunchie, which is fabulous. I can always use a scrunchie for my hair when I’m out and about or at cycle class!

Overall thoughts

My overall thoughts for this box was that while it was nice to receive so many products and a large assortment, it was confusing to me because the box indicates that normally you don’t receive this many. I would have also liked to receive more spiritual type products like more aromatherapy items.  I also felt that there were a lot of “repeats” such as receiving 2 vanilla protein shake items, versus adding in more variety in terms of flavors. I did like that it contained several makeup and beauty items I had never heard of or probably wouldn’t have given a chance if I had seen it in a store. However, I personally do think the box is a bit expensive for what you receive but, again, this could just be the items we received so I don’t want to criticize it too much based off just my own experience. I would need to see other boxes before giving a final opinion.
