Boxy Charm is a makeup and beauty subscription box for all those makeup gurus out there. From the website’s description:  “In each box you will receive 4 to 5 full-size beauty items (instead of the tiiiiiiny little samples) ranging from makeup to skincare, beauty tools to color cosmetics and each box has a value of $100 and up. Brands range from emerging to established, and you’re guaranteed to find a few new favorites in each box.”

This Month’s theme was “Eye Candy” with some amazing products with great variety. A couple of the items varied for each subscriber, so we are reviewing the ones that we personally received.

Element of Surprise – ColourPop

{Items may vary. Other palettes that were in boxes were: Golden State of Mind, My Little Pony, You Had Me At Hello or Semi Precious)

Retail Value: $16

At first glance, this palette is full of some amazing and vibrant colors. I was especially drawn in by looking at those gorgeous pink and purple tones and was already thinking about the different kinds of looks I could create with this beauty.

Here are the colors swatched below:

One thing to keep in mind is there tends to be some fallout when you’re using this. My suggestion would be to do your foundation after you put on shadow so that way you can wipe the excess fallout away. Overall the colors were extremely easy to blend, and the pigment was amazing. For $16 you really can’t beat that price for such a fun and beautiful palette.

The BrowGal – Instatint Eyebrow Gel in Light Hair 03

Retail Value $22

If you’ve never heard of The BrowGal, I have to say you’re missing out!

This tined brow gel works with your already natural brows to give them a fuller look. I was a bit disappointed because this color is way too light for me, so I can’t say if I love it or not but, for those out there who matches this color, you’re going to love it.

Dr. Brandt – Pores No More Vacuum Cleaner Purifying Mask

Retail Value: $42

This is a purifying mask that breaks apart stubborn dirt and oil to unclog pores and tighten their appearance for a flawless, poreless finish.

To use, you’ll want to apply this to a clean area on your face (avoid your eyes!) and leave on for 5-10 minutes. You will feel a cooling sensation as you leave the mask on and let it do its magic. Rinse with warm water and use up to 2-3 times per week to get the best results.

I can already tell by using this one time how much smoother and cleaner my face feels. I plan to add this into my beauty regime and I look forward to the continued results! Dr. Brandt is an amazing and reliable brand, so I highly suggest this product.

Tartiest Pro Blow: Liquid Highlighter – Tarte

Retail Value: $29

Honestly, I will throw this out there that this could possibly be a bit of biased review, but, I absolutely love Tarte and they continue to be one of my favorite brands. When I first started using makeup more and more, I always recommend their products to friends because of how good the quality is of their products. This product lives up to the brand name, and is absolutely fantastic!

Taken from the description: You will glow like a goddess with this creamy highlighter that builds from sheer to intense. Mix this product either with your foundation, or use it on its own for a naturally lit luminosity.

I used this product by itself, and I can definitely say it added that extra glow I was looking for. This is another product I will highly suggest, especially if you’re just learning about contouring and highlighting, and wanting to add some radiance and shine to your makeup look.

Hi Definition Liquid Lipstick – Adesse

Retail Value: $24

This liquid lipstick is a luxurious, creamy, and long wearing product that will give you a full coverage look.

I wasn’t too much a fan of the color but, I liked how it glided on and applied super easily. I also noticed it did last longer than other liquid lipsticks I’ve used in the past.

I also want to point out that I don’t usually wear a lot of lip color when I do my makeup so trying to find a color I really like isn’t always the easiest task but, I know a lot of you out there will love this color.

BoxyCharm also hooked it up with some awesome coupon codes, which I definitely plan to take advantage of:

Visit Sephora and search #poresnomore to access a limited special edition pore refiner primer bundle offer. Supplies are limited.

10% of orders at Tarte.

Use Code: APRILBOXY

Valid 4/15/18 – 5/15/18

Overall, this month was an amazing box. There were so many different products, and there were some I normally wouldn’t go out of my way to try, so I thought that was really great that I got the opportunity to try something new. Like I mentioned, it was a bit disappointing that the eyebrow gel isn’t my color, but, the other items more than made up for that. Considering that the Dr. Brandt product is valued at twice the box already, I am so impressed.

If you’ve been on the fence about signing up, now is definitely the time to do so because BoxyCharm has temporarily lifted the Wait-list. That’s amazing! Don’t hesitate, sign up today, and I guarantee if you’re a makeup lover, or just starting out, you will fall in love with this box.
