So besides a makeup subscription box, if there was ever a more perfect box for my interests; it’s office supplies. It might make me out to be a bit strange but, I absolutely love having cool office supplies. I hoard all the bright color post-its and paper flags at my desk at work. I’m also picky? (for a lack of a word) about the pens I use. I like pens that write smoothly and hate pens that leak everywhere. When Desk Stash contacted us about reviewing this box – I knew I would be sold!

One thing that really appeals to me about this box is it’s quarterly. Look, as you know now from above, I love office supplies. Some may even say I am the office notebook hoarder. However, receiving it every month would just encourage me to keep too much stuff so every three months is perfect.

Now let’s check out what Desk Stash has jam-packed into it!

Happy Camper Desk Cady, Fred & Friends – Retail Value $10.00

This is one of the two items within the box that first caught my eye. I mean, how cute is this pen/pencil holder? I have a tiny recycle bin at my desk at work that I somewhat miss so I’m happy to have this now that I am working at home. Upon putting it together I could tell it felt durable but light enough not to become a nuisance on a desk.

Putting this together was a tiny bit thicker than I first thought but, it did not take very long at all. Luckily there are instructions with all the pieces with clear labels.  I was concerned I might break it so I wasn’t pushing hard enough to get the pieces to snap-in. Once I got over that, it snapped into place really easily and it stood up perfect. I can’t wait to fill it up with my pen collection!

6 Click Multi-Color Gel Pen, Ooly – Retail Value $5.50

There’s a very nostalgic feeling I have when I look at this pen. I recall having these pens in elementary and middle school and thinking they were so cool. If you think about it – what a great invention. You only need to carry around one pen and have different options for the ink color. The ink in the pen is very smooth and writes very easily so that’s also a plus.

As you can see, I have my very first pen for my desk caddy as well!

Think Again Eraser, Fred & Friends – Retail Value $6.00

This is another really awesome addition in the box. I don’t use pencils much but, I found this to be so cool for when I do. I love that it looks just like a brain you would see in a laboratory or science lab. This is also made of  BPA-free TPR (thermoplastic rubber). I feel like this would be a great item to hold on to until your kid(s) are back in school and they can get some good use of it.

This Week Sticky Roll Notes, Knock Knock – Retail Value $6.00

While I am always going to be a fan of post-it notes, I definitely thought this was a terrific product to include. It’s not only unique but, you get 26 feet (!!!) of sticky notes in this one box! Feel free to tear a piece off and stick a note to your desk, your fridge, your table, etc. and jot down what you need to say. I also love that it’s in this compact cube so you can store it right in your desk and it will not take up a ton of room.

Space Etching E-Clips, Midori – Retail Value $7.95

These are some of the most adorable paper clips I have seen in a long time. This E-clip comes in 4 different shapes, all having something to do with space. They are lightweight yet durable enough to hold up to 10 pieces of paper. Desk Stash did a great job finding these to include in the box.

It’s great that you can slide the plastic box either to the left or the right, depending on which clip you want to use. I like this better than popping off the lid because if you’re a bit clumsy like I am, chances are a few will go flying. I almost don’t want to use them because of how much I like them! However, I will share them with my co-workers when I am back in my office. They also come in some other fun shapes.

Emergen-C 3 Pack – Estimated Retail Value $1.50

I’m actually not even sure the last time I took Emergen-C. There are some fond memories of using this product in my younger years when I was juggling being a full-time student and holding down a job. I worked in retail and had a full course load so I absolutely could not afford to be sick. I remember the flavor being not too bad but, it helping me power through those tough times. While this product obviously can’t be proven to stop a cold or illness it’s always good for your body to load up on vitamin C while recovering. I’m glad to have this in my home should I, unfortunately, become ill any time soon.

Information Central Paper Mousepad, Knock Knock – Retail Value $11.99

I do not personally use a mouse pad. The wireless mouse I have does just fine on my desk. I’m not too sure if it actually performs better on a hard surface. That being said, I can plan to use this as a notepad. I like that it has different sections to jog your memory on what to do. I actually find comfort in making lists and crossing items off as they are completed and will get great use of this product.

Record Player Tape Dispenser, Scotch Magic Tape – Retail Value $12.00

This was absolutely the winner and the showstopper in the box for me! First off I love vinyl records. I love the way they sound, the way they look, and the way they sound on a record player. Music is so important to me and this product, even if it’s just office supplies, brought me so much joy!

This is an item I would have never even thought to look up. I mean, a tape dispenser that looks like a record player? I feel like this item was perfectly made for me. To refill the tape, all you have to do it just lift up the ‘record’ and it’s quite simple. It’s nice that a roll of tape was even included.  I can’t wait to take it to work with me and show it off to my co-workers. I was considering keeping it at home but, I feel it will be a nice decoration for my desk. Nice work including this, Desk Stash!

Overall Thoughts

This was Desk Stash’s first month as subscription and I must say I am thoroughly impressed. I love the packaging of the box, the variety and the uniqueness of the products, and I can tell the effort that went behind the curation of this month. One thing that would be nice for the future would be an insert card to outline the details of the products. However, it is one less piece of paper that is going to be used so it doesn’t bother me too much.

The total price of this box is $45 with the MSRP coming in at around $60.00 so there are already savings right there. This box is not only perfect for office supply lovers like me but, anyone who now is working from home during the pandemic. Why not treat yourself with some unique new office supplies to spruce up the workday? I really think you should! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them as well.
