Just a quick reminder, that this post MAY contain some spoilers.

Looks like this month’s box brings us to Monaco! It’s time to explore some casinos and hotels and use the clues to solve this month’s mystery. As a quick reminder, you can catch my review of Chapter 1 here.

I found there to be a lot of cool looking clues, but, I’ve come to expect that from Dispatch and look forward to seeing what they’ve come up with. They always put interesting items in the box and this month was no different. From first glance I didn’t really know what to do with all of the clues but, it becomes more evident as you go further into the box.

One of the first clues we receive is a sticker for our passport! This item was sent to me in the first box. As you may remember, sometimes you’ll need to refer back to items from previous boxes, as I did in the first series I reviewed here.

I placed this sticker in the passport, and now I can’t wait to get more to add to the collection!

Next, there’s a cardboard item with a feather on it from the Velour Casino. It’s a bit hard to tell from the picture below but, if you look closely there’s something else there. Looks like we’ll need to refer back to our book of codes to figure out what this Braille message is telling us. I thought this was incredibly genius to add this in as a clue.

This took me a few times to decipher what the secret message was trying to say to me. Then I noticed an important clue that Braille is read left to right on the book. Luckily I caught my mistake somewhat quickly.

I also noticed another insert in the box that appears to be a hotel room service menu. It also has some kind of secret message on it. Once again, I referred back to the codebook to decipher the message. After cracking the hidden message, I found that we’re being warned about a character who is beautiful, yet deadly, and we need to plant a bug in her room to spy on her.

There’s also a website included at the bottom.  I’ll come back to that at the end.

Next up, we have some photos with identity cards to go along with them. While not a ton of information was given about the people of interest. There wasn’t too much information on the cards but, the women will be recognizable soon.

Like last month’s box, we also received another Top Secret folder with some pertinent information!

Here is more information on a blonde woman named Gazelle. It kind of hits close to me because it appears she’s a mastery of makeup! Although, I don’t think I can master the skill of making myself look 25 ;). I noticed the tattoo on her leg. I wonder what that means? Should I keep that in mind?

It might be difficult to tell from the picture, but, the redacted words on the second document, aren’t so redacted if you get my drift. Wonder if one of those words in there is a clue or a foreshadowing to where I can expect to go next.

This was definitely the favorite clue in the box of mine! I may or…may not be in love with scratch tickets. I find clues like this to be extremely entertaining because not only are they interactive which captivates my interest but, they are original and not just deciphering different codes. Also, word of advice…make sure you scratch the items off gently. I learned that the hard way.

One of the last clues is this poker chip. First thing I did was go to the website listed below the $5,000 value. This is what the website looked like:

As you can see, it looks like Hazim needs to be paid, so to complete this, I’ll need to win $20,000. Do I bet big, or do I bet conservatively? The rules looked simple enough and I began to play as soon as I read them. It did take me a bit of time to finally win all the cash I needed. I wasn’t expecting that but, I finally won the amount of money I needed to move forward!  The following webpage gives you an important clue so make sure you pay attention.

As mentioned above, let’s revisit the Monaco Gold Hotel Website.

Hint: You must first decipher all the codes and solve the remainder of the clues before you can get all the clues and information you’ll need to complete this box.

Once you figure out who’s room to plant the bug/spy on, the website will take you here:

You’ll want to view this document to read a redacted memo that was included in Chapter 1 of the series. Read it carefully. I decided to take a screenshot just in case!

After reading the redacted memo, you’ll be asked a series of questions. If you can figure them all out – you’ve solved the box! There is something so satisfying about knowing I solved the mystery!

Looks like next we are going to Russia!

Overall Thoughts

I found this box to be much faster to solve than the first one in this particular series. Definitely, no complaints since there’s so much information already in the first couple of boxes and I found the interactive websites to be a lot of fun. While I’m working on this box alone, this series would be a lot of entertainment for a game night. You could even split up the clues amongst the group and work on different parts since each clue plays its own big part in the series. I had a lot of fun with it as usual, and of course, can’t wait to see what the next box has in store for me.
