What a perfect time for this package to come in the mail. It feels like I’ve been stuck in my home for an eternity now! However, I am truly grateful that I can have the flexibility to be home right now. I’m even more thankful for all our essential workers out there. With that being said, receiving a package from Empress Mimi came at just the right time to help lift my mood!
This package’s theme is “Aurora” and the insert card is so mesmerizing and gorgeous to look at. I love the look of the pinks, yellows, blues, and purples perfectly existing among each other. This box was inspired by a deity that personifies the first light of day, Aurora. Before reading the back of the card this was actually my first thought – this looks like a beautiful sunrise! I absolutely adore that Empress Mimi always has a backstory to each piece. Not only that, but they also offer so much positivity on the card. I keep all of them to reread since they instantly perk me up when I’m in a funk.
As always, returns are very easy and Empress Mimi even has its very own rewards program. You can receive $10 off as a current subscriber each time you refer a friend and they sign up for a subscription. I love that! Why not have your friends be treated as a goddess as well?
Wow! That is the first word that comes to mind when eyeing this gorgeous piece. First off, I love the yellow color. It’s so vibrant and perfect for springtime. Plus, it matches so well with the theme which I always love in an endearing way. I am also loving that this set is a camisole instead of a lingerie bra. Don’t get me wrong, I love all the bras I have received but, a camisole is something that’s more “me”. My biggest insecurity is without a doubt my stomach so I can wear this comfortably and feel confident. It’s perfect for relaxing while social distancing.
I love all the details on this lingerie set. Between the colors, the lace, and intricate floral design, this may be my favorite piece so far. I probably say that every time but, Empress Mimi always sends really gorgeous sets. Every time I get a package from them at my door I’m so excited to see what’s in it. Upon trying this on, I felt very comfortable in it. I was fearful it would be super unflattering on me but, it actually fits very well. The satin body feels nice on the skin and doesn’t make me uncomfortable or itchy. I would not say I have super sensitive skin but, certain fabrics definitely make my skin crawl and I become itchy.
The bottom piece, although it feels somewhat unflattering on me, goes well with the camisole. My only small gripe is that on the bottom front of the thong, a small piece of the floral design appears to be coming off. That’s not a huge deal to me though because I probably will not wear this super often. However, since Empress Mimi includes a return/exchange form, it would be a very simple fix.
Also, take a look at this tag. I mean… how awesome is that? Little details like this really make my heart happy. I love subscription boxes and when companies come up with cool branding ideas like this, it definitely makes me tell all my friends and family to sign up!
Overall Thoughts
Well, it’s easy to see I love this new set. Empress Mimi continues to remain one of my favorite subscriptions. Empress Mimi really shows acceptance of all shapes and sizes and showcases them. The piece is really gorgeous and comfortable. I can easily sleep in the camisole top and feel completely comfortable. It’s very difficult to be anything but in a great mood when this set is in your presence! I really love Empress Mimi for a multitude of reasons. One being that I really lack self-confidence and a 2020 goal that I’ve been given time to now work on, is to stop having so many negative thoughts about myself.
