Getting the FabFitFun box always creates some excitement around The Review Girls.  Even though we see all the spoilers beforehand, opening the box is still always such a pleasure.  It all starts with the beautiful artwork that always captures the season so well.  Then they top it off with a fabulous mini-mag that includes information on the products and so much more.  Let’s dive into the products.

Amika, Strand Perfect Ceramic Styler – Retail Value: $80.00

I was excited to get this product since the iron I use now is too thick for me to wave my hair.  After trying this product a few times I’m going to go n the record and say this isn’t my favorite FabFitFun item that I’ve gotten.  My hair, which is extremely fine, gets stuck and pulled on every try.

Aveda, Damage Remedy – Retail Value: $31.00

I wasn’t super excited about getting a hair repair product since I have a few favorites already that have been amazing to use.  That being said, this product is at the same level as the ones I’m using and I couldn’t be happier to say that.  It is easy to apply by running my fingers through my damp hair.  And it makes my hair so soft and shiny all day.  Best of all there is no greasiness that comes in the afternoon.  I will be adding this to my list of favorite hair care products.

Harper + Ari, Exfoliating Sugar Cubes – Retail Value: $16.00

I had tried sugar cubes from Harper + Ari before in the April 2019 Saltwater & Sand subscription box.  I knew I would love these just as much as I did back in April.  The scent is very nice, almost like a melon.  I ended up testing one cube, which was marvelous.  Then I sent the reminder as a gift to someone that I knew would love them.  Spoiler alert, they called to tell me how cool they are and how much they like these cubes.

Human + Kind,  Body Souffle – Retail Value: $18.00

When I saw a lotion was being included I wasn’t super excited.  I get it, Fall is the time to get on top of dry skin, but I seem to have a ton of lotions and really didn’t feel like I needed another one.  My opinion quickly changed when I realized how nice this lotion is.  The scent isn’t my favorite as it is a bit overwhelming at first.  But the lotion keeps my hand feeling like silk all day long.  I haven’t had to reapply it constantly throughout the day as I do with some other lotions.  Noelle is a big fan too so I make sure to share it with her.

Kate Spade New York, Lunch Tote – Retail Value: $30

While I think this tote is very cute, I can’t say that I see myself using it very much.  I am thinking I’ll stash this to give away to someone in the future.  I love the look of it and the quality feels nice.  I do feel like it’s a bit small for a whole day at the office though.  I could see this being used by a new mom to store milk though, after pumping at the office.  It seems to be the perfect size for something like that.

The Better Skin Co, Lava Magik – Retail Value: $32.00

This is the holy grail of cleansers.  Talk about multi-tasking, it can be used as a cleanser, scrub, or mask.  Personally, I used it as a scrub to test it and loved the exfoliating feeling I got.   It feels a bit rough, which I actually like since that makes me feel like it’s giving me a nice deep clean.   I will be buying more of this once I run out.

treStiQue, Mini Eye Essentials – Retail Value: $48.00

I’m not super into makeup so it’s always hard for me to give a thorough review on these types of products.  I have been trying to learn to do my eyebrows better so I figured these might help with that.  I wasn’t super impressed with the larger pencils, but the eyeliner worked pretty well.  I’m going to keep working with this product and see if I can get a better idea of what to think.  Stay tuned,  I will come back and update this review in the future.

Wander Beauty, Baggage Claim Gold Eye Mask – Retail Value: $25.00

This is another one of my favorite items in the box.  I’m used to the more silicone feeling eyemasks so that is what I was expecting.  These are no that.  They are more of a gold foil.  The foil seemed to stay in place much better than others that I’ve used in the past.  I also noticed an amazing difference.  My eyes felt nice and cool and hydrated after just once use.  I can’t get enough of these masks.

Overall

The thing I love about FabFitFun is the overall value of the box.  Even when I don’t love every item, it is still worth the quarterly price that I pay.  This particular season was a huge win for me.  Not only did I find some new favorite products, but I also was able to gift some really cool items to my friends and family.  I can’t recommend this box enough to everyone that I know.
