The artwork on the FabFitFun boxes is always beautiful and really sets a tone for the whole box. I also like the magazine that is included in each box. Since I’m a huge fan of Eva Longoria, I was excited to see her featured this month! Inside the magazine, there are all kinds of tips and tricks for using the items within the box.
Please note, we will only be reviewing the products that we received in our box. As an annual subscriber, I was able to choose several of the items in my box, which is always a plus!
I will start with the products that all subscribers will receive.
Grace & Stella, Rose Facial Spray – Retail Value: $25.95
I have a few similar sprays like this already, so I ended up gifting this one to Noelle. It is a huge bottle. The smell is what you would expect, a rose scent. The nozzle sprays a perfectly fine mist. I can’t say if it would benefit my skin since I only tried it one time. But it did feel refreshing.
Generation Clay, Brightening Purple Clay Mask – Retail Value: $39
Masks can be very hit and miss with me. Since I have sensitive skin I always need to make sure to test a small patch before applying to my whole face. I squeezed out a small portion, see picture below, for the test. Surprisingly that small amount covered nearly all of my face and before I knew it I was covered in the purple mask. Lucky for me it didn’t cause any sort of reaction and my face came out looking and feeling very smooth.
Invisibobble, Original – Retail Value $16
Personally, I’m not a fan of this product. They work well, but I like normal hair ties better. Since I keep one in my pocket at all times the slimmer type of tie is more convenient. These wouldn’t be ideal for pockets on skinny jeans. Also, not sure I like the look of them as they remind me of my work keys.
Whish, Exfoliating Foot Mask – Retail Value $32
I don’t have super cracked feet, so I couldn’t tell a huge difference when using this product. However, it smells amazing though and was extremely relaxing to apply it to my feet. I will continue to use the product for the sole purpose of relaxation.
Moving on to the items that could be customized by select members. These items were chosen by myself before the box shipped.
Sutra, Mini Travel Blow Dryer – Retail Value: $60
I like that it is small and lightweight. Also, I love the marble design. So far, it works really well. I have been using it for one week and had great results. The attachments tend to come off pretty easy when I’m styling which is a bummer. However, overall I like this product and am happy it came in the box! ****7/24/19 Update: this blowdryer quit working after 3 uses.****
west elm, Indigo Tie-Dye Nesting Bowls – Retail Value: $39
This set of nesting bowls are a little smaller than I thought they would be. I adore the colors and patterns on them and have a few ideas on where I can use them around the home and office. These bowls are dishwasher and microwave safe which is ideal in my life.
Skin&Co, Truffle Therapy Cleansing Oil – Retail Value $32
While I was picking my products for the FabFitFun Box, one of the choices again was a “mystery choice”. I hadn’t had good luck with my mystery choice last season but decided to give it another go since I wasn’t thrilled about the other choices anyways offered. Though I have heard great things about this product and the company, this item isn’t something I see myself using. I ended up placing it aside to gift to a special someone.
ODEME Silicone Wine Cups – Retail Value $25
I was pretty excited to choose these silicone wine cups. They are the perfect summer cup for all my beach and camping needs. It is nice that they come in a set of two since I like to drink wine with a friend! I need to test them out this weekend while camping to see how they hold up. I will update this review once back in town.
COOLA, Organic SPF Makeup Setting Sunscreen Spray– Retail Value: $36
I love love love this spray and don’t think I can say enough good things about it. I have been needing a setting spray and have always admired the COOLA brand. How did I not know there was such a thing as a setting spray and SPF in one convenient package? The nozzle sprays a nice even mist that covers my face in two sprays. It keeps my makeup looking fresh for about ten hours, although if I’m in the sun or swimming I reapply it every four hours.
Overall
The FabFitFun box is one that has always been worth the $45 per season that I put into the subscription. Typically if I even like one or two of the items in the box then it is worth the investment. This season I was happy to receive a box where the majority of the items are ones that I will appreciate. The blowdryer alone is valued at more than I paid for the full box. Another thing I like about FabFitFun is the joy of finding new products that become a staple in my routine. This season, the COOLA spray is that product and I know I will be reordering more in the future! If you are looking for a box that will consistently be a hit for you, then look no further than FabFitFun. I would also highly suggest that you become an annual member since you are able to customize your box more than seasonal members.
