If you subscribe to other clothing boxes, you are probably used to the standard questionnaire and box of surprise items. The Fashom box is different. They do have you answer some questions, but then a stylish pick several pieces for you to look at online BEFORE they ship anything to you. You get to curate your own box with items that you would like to try. Once you get the items, simply try them on and decide what you will keep and what you will ship back.
Skinny Jeans – Retail Value: $48
Personally, I love skinny jeans since I can wear them pretty much year round. Also, they are easy to dress up or down. I liked the color of this pair and the little bit of stretch to them was a welcome treat. I decided to keep these jeans, since they were of high quality, fit well, and looked nice on me.
Twenty-Second, Sweet Lace Hoodie – Retail Value: $42
At first glance, I loved this lightweight hoodie. The colors are adorable and the added lace gives it just enough detail to make it look put together. The stripes and shape made me look a lot larger than I am though so I decided to return it.
Natural Life, Intermingle Hacci Cardigan – Retail Value: $39
I live in cardigans so am always happy to try a new one on. The color of this one is perfect for me and the material was extremely soft and cozy. Unfortunately, the shape of this cardigan wasn’t a hit for my body type so I ended up returning it.
Mitloshop, Bamboo V-Neck Twisted Side Knit Top – Retail Value: $38
Once again, the color, material, and style of this shirt are right up my alley. And again, the shape didn’t look good on my body. I’m not sure if I was just having an off day or the items in this month’s box really didn’t look good on me. I have a thing about hiding my “mom tum” and feel like each item tended to accentuate it more. I actually kind of regret sending this one back because the material was so soft and comfy that I could have at least worn it around the house.
Natural Life, Drape Back Top – Retail Value: $38
This top was a no from me. I like the drape back look on me, but the front of the shirt didn’t look right on me. I feel like this is a trend with the items in this box. Once again though, the material is extremely soft. I have a thing with fabrics and the softer the better, so it was cool that all the items fit that part of my style!
Pricing and Discounts
Hands down my favorite part of this box are the discounts that they offer. I love that I don’t have to keep the whole box to enjoy a bit of a price break. I have to say that when I saw the price for all five items I was excited to keep all five without even trying them on. Unfortunately, my first time around most of the items was a miss for me. But I look forward to enjoying the hefty discounts on future boxes from Fashom.
Overall
While I only ended up keeping one item from this box, I can honestly still say that I am in love with their service. The price points are a little high for my budget, but the discounts more than makeup for that! They picked items that I was in love with and nailed my overall style. That being said, the fit of this month’s items was a miss for me so I’m hoping to improve that with the next box. For this being their first try at stying me, I give them major credit.
