A subscription box for jerky is just the type of subscription box that intrigues me (and my family).  Read on to see what products came in our March 2020 package from Jerky Subscription.

The G.O.A.T., Hot Beef Jerky – Retail: $3.99

Wasabi and cayenne pepper set this jerky apart from the rest of the box!  My husband liked the added spice.  I really liked the texture of this jerky, it wasn’t as dry as other in the box.

Two Hot Chicks, Habanero – Retail: $3.33

This jerky was one of my husband’s favorite.  He really likes the more dry and crunchy texture.  We both really liked the flavor and wished this bag was a lot bigger!  I will be looking to order more in the future.

Lucky Jerky, Orginal – Retail: $3.50

I was actually surprised that this was the only jerky that had sweet undertones in the box.  Of course, it was one of my favorites since I have a major sweet tooth.

Tong, Orginal Salt & Pepper – Retail: $6.99

One thing to note – our package arrived with a cut in it, which may have affected the freshness.  Personally, I wasn’t a fan of this jerky.  The amount of pepper was too overwhelming for me.

Think, Grass-Fed Classic – Retail: $4.19

This jerky was just right for my son and I.  The texture was extremely soft, which it turns out is important to a six-year-old.   I also liked the thicker, yet bite-sized pieces.  And the taste was exactly what I long for when I buy jerky!  Their website didn’t list the 1.5 oz bag, the price was quoted from amazon.

People’s Choice, Carne Seca – Retail: $6.00

I was really looking forward to tasting this jerky.  Unfortunately for me, it was the case of “you snooze you lose” for me.  My husband snagged the bag while I was out of the house.  He knew enough to take a picture of the jerky before devouring the contents.  I did manage to get this “review” from him, “it was delicious!  Where can we buy more?”  And now, I have a one-pound bag on it’s way to me in time for Father’s Day.

Overall

If you like jerky, you will like this subscription.  While I didn’t like every single brand of jerky, I loved getting to taste test some many different varities.   My husband was pretty excited to see this show up and enjoyed trying each bag with me.  So much so that this subscription is on my shortlist of future gifts to get for him!  Father’s Day is about to get a lot more exciting.   What a cool way to stock up on snacks each month!
