Kinder Beauty Box sparked my interest since I have been getting more into skincare products.  Being at home more has allowed me the time I need to really research and try out new products.  Since I’m not going into the office five days a week, I’m less worried about if my skin has a reaction to products.  And I’m able to keep makeup off for long periods of time to really let my natural beauty show.  The thing about Kinder Beauty Box that really interested me though was the fact they only include cruelty-free products.

This box was sent to us free of charge for review purposes.  View our Disclosure to learn more about our process.  This post may contain referral/affiliate links. If you buy something, The Review Girls may earn a commission.

One thing to note is that on top of their subscription box option, they also have an online shop.  From the shop, you can pick the box you would like to receive and the surprise (& auto-renew) aspects are taken out of the equation.  My thoughts on the Magnolia & Iris Collection are below.

Kinder Beauty’s Magnolia Collection

I found the inserts incredibly useful since it not only listed which products were included in the box, but also the retail value and where I could purchase more of the products I fall in love with!

Vivaiodays, Rose Geranium Cleansing Water – Retail Value $16.99

This cleansing water is a triple threat that can be used as a face cleanser, makeup remover, and also sanitizer!  For the purpose of review, I used it as a make up remover and between shower face cleanser.  The scent is light, with floral hints.  When applied with a reusable cotton pad, it left my skin clean and oh so soft.  I thought that it might dry my face out, but it actually seemed to add a bit of moisture which was a nice bonus.

Pure Aura, Paper Cloud – Retail Value $5.00

How cool are these small cleansing sheets?  Just add water and lather in your hands and you are ready to clean your face.  These are the perfect item to travel, especially since the bag can be resealed.  I tested one in the shower and really liked the nice thick lather that these little guys made.  This product will be one that I buy in the future!

Chella, Eyebrow Defining Gel – Retail Value $20

The one area that I have been applying makeup happens to be my eyebrows, so this defining gel was the perfect item for me to receive.  The formula worked well but still felt light & flexible.  This gel kept my eyebrows in place all day, with no flaking.

100% Pure, Deep Hydrating Sheet Mask – Retail Value $6

One way I practice self-care is through the use of sheet masks.  Since not only does it help me feel good about taking care of my skin, but it also makes me stay relatively still and quiet for about twenty minutes. My skin felt so soft after using this hydrating mask from 100% Pure.   I also really liked that this mask didn’t require me to wash my face after using it.  Gently massaging the left over serum is a sure way to fully relax myself.

Nourish Mantra, Urban Rani Facial Serum – Retail Value $48

This serum came damaged and leaking.  There wasn’t much product left in the container, so I ended up tossing it.  See the below description from the Nourish Mantra website:

“Lightweight skin serum formulated with fortifying plant-based AHAs, skin rejuvenating Vitamins B3 and C, luscious fruits and vibrant botanicals. Combats signs of skin fatigue due to pollution keeping skin dewy, soft and illuminated. A quick-absorbing formula that targets blemishes, dark spots and pigmentation, and imparts a youthful suppleness.”

Kinder Beauty’s Iris Collection

Veriphy, 20/20 Eye Cream – Retail Value $22.67

Hands down, this is the best eye cream I have reviewed! I was able to use this travel size cream over the course of a week and still have enough for about another week.  One week doesn’t seem like enough time to see results, but I can definitely see an improvement in my dark circles and puffiness.  At $82, the full-size cream would be a huge splurge for me, however, I’m putting it on my Christmas list this year (and next year)!

Beauty Kitchen, Sugar Scrub – Retail Value $10.50

Another amazing product in the Iris Collection is this wonderful Skin Polish Sugar Scrub.  This isn’t as oily as sugar scrubs I have used in the past, but it still left my skin super soft.  While I’m typically not a fan of floral scents, this was light enough to where it didn’t bother me.  This is another product that will go on my wishlist.

Chella, Eyebrow Defining Gel – Retail Value $20

See my review above.  I was thrilled to get a second gel though since it made a perfect addition to my Reddit secret Santa gift!  My giftee will love it just as much as I do.

Hero Cosmetics, Mighty Patch – Retail Value $3

If you have used blemish patches before, then you know how magic they are!  I am always game to try a new (to me) brand of these pimple fighters!  While my skin was been really clear this year, I still get the occasional white head.  When my next one pops up, I will be ready with these Mighty Patches!

Earth Harbor, Luna Night Serum – Retail Value $54

As mentioned above, I am participating in the Reddit Secret Santa this year.  When I saw this serum in my box, I immediately thought my giftee would love it.  So after a quick picture, I decided to add it to the pile of gifts.  See below for a description from the Earth Harbor website:

“Endow your skin with raindrops of moonlit magic. A rich, featherlight serum featuring a medley of Seaweed Collagen, Tropical Superfruit Acids and Botanical Multivitamins that refine and retexturize skin to reveal a smoother and more radiant-looking complexion — all while you enjoy your precious beauty sleep.

Formulated with our dream team 15% AHA + BHA blend, Macro-algae Collagen, and Vitamin C-rich oils, Luna Rain Serum sinks in easily and delivers effective and precise exfoliation without the harsh side effects like dryness or sensitization. Helps diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and discoloration along with excess oiliness and pores.”

Overall Thoughts

Each of these collections from Kinder Beauty were incredibly curated.  There was a nice mix of products to keep my skin healthy and glowing this December! Plus the products are cruelty-free, so I can feel good about supporting each company.  I’m baffled how these boxes are only $23 each (with free shipping).  In my humble opinion, Kinder Beauty Box is THE box for beauty and skincare products.  I will be recommending this box to everyone that I know!

  1. If you are reviewing a box that they sent you for free, it’s rude to “re-gift” the items without trying them. The whole reason they sent it to you was to get your opinion, not so you can gift their items to someone else smh.

    1. Hi Kate. Thanks for the feedback. We agree and try not to “re-gift” most items. It can be hard with skincare boxes since we can only try so many items in the short amount of time we have to write a review. Occasionally we will set items aside that we can’t get to quickly enough and then we will come back and update our review. In this instance, getting 2 boxes from Kinder Beauty with similar type products, we knew we wouldn’t be able to use each of the products. Since I personally use products for typically 2 weeks, I can’t use products that are very similar as it would be impossible to know which product was giving me which effects. In the few reviews that this is an issue, we instead focus on the box as a whole, the curation, the value, and so forth.
