After working from home for nearly a year, I figured a subscription that got me to put on something other than yoga pants might be fun. Though I wouldn’t typically wear thigh highs to work, I can think of a few other times I would want to slip some on. However, since I’m on team “thick thighs save lives”, I have never found a pair of thigh highs that actually stayed up where they are supposed to be.
After looking over the size chart for VienneMilano I wasn’t sure their large would fit, but at only 5’5″, I knew the XL would be too way too long. Either way, I let them know my height and weight and they sent me the two pieces below for review.
Overall Quality
From the box that the stocking came in, which doubles as a storage box to the thigh highs themselves, these products exude superior quality. The stockings are thick, yet still extremely silky to the touch. The double adhesive thigh band is meant to keep them in place. The lace top gives a stretch without allowing it to be overstretched. To see if they could withstand a whole day, I planned to wear each pair for a full workday (at my home office).
Wear
As mentioned above I was a bit skeptical about sizing since I was a tad heavier than the size large. I am unsure what sizes were sent to me though since I didn’t notice a size listed on the packaging. However, based on the wear I would be willing to bet it was a size large. The height fits very well, with the tops coming past my mid-thigh and no bunching by my toes. When I first put on each pair the top band seemed to stay in place pretty well. That was until I started moving around to get a good picture. The thigh bands started to fold and I knew it must be just a little too small for my thick thighs.
Overall
Even though I wasn’t able to wear these thigh highs for a full day, I was still uber impressed by their quality. With the proper sizing for my body, these would be a dream come true. They made me feel so sexy and confident when they were in place. And after a year in yoga pants and hoodies, it was just the boost I needed. So for now, these will go in my closet, it is possible after losing the quarantine fifteen they will fit like a charm. If you are within the sizing parameters, I would highly suggest you give this brand a try.
