Meloway is a cruelty-free, vegan, and paraben-free makeup brand that strives to promote inclusivity in the beauty industry. The neon packaging instantly caught my attention when unboxing. I also appreciated the logo grip on the lids/applicators. Typically I am pretty low-key with my makeup, spending less than 15 minutes doing it on an average day. In those 15 minutes, mascara and brows are a MUST. Read on to see what I thought about each item they sent for review.
Your Way Mascara, Super Black – $22.00
With a patented wand that bends to different angles, this Meloway mascara is helpful at covering the lashes in the corner of my eyes. The wand is hands down the main character of the mascara! The super black formula was exactly what I love in mascara since it gives me the dramatic lashes that I love. The first day I used it my lashes did clump up a bit, I’m assuming that was from too much product on the wand. After a few applications, the clumps stopped happening. Also, when I used the mascara without the primer, I noticed a lot of flaking, However, when used with the primer there was none. Read on to see the look I created with all three products.
Ready Set Primer – $22.00
This lash primer also featured the bendable wand, which was perfect since now I’m not sure I can live without it! As mentioned above, the mascara seemed to flake when I didn’t use it in conjunction with this lash primer. And in fact, the primer seemed to make my lashes look flawless for over two days. Yes, I slept with the mascara and primer on to see if it would flake overnight, and I was pleasantly surprised to wake up to beautiful-looking lashes. Talk about a great way to start the day. Read on to see the look I created with all three products.
Brow Creation Gel, Diry Chai – $20.00
Ever since accidentally shaving off a small part of my eyebrow (don’t ask) last month, I have been trying a ton of different brow products to cover up my awful mistake. I have been loving using pencils to add in hair strokes, but really wanted something to add more color to the rest of my brows. This tinted brow gel did just what I was hoping it would! I was able to fill in my bald spot and get the rest of my brows to match the same darker color. Also, my brows stayed in place overnight. Yes, I slept in this product too…all in the name of research. Are you ready to see my final look?
Overall
Remember when I said I keep my makeup really low-key? Mainly that is because I am what you call a makeup noob. Having just started really stepping out of my comfort zone last year, I am still learning what looks best on my features. That being said, I was really happy with how my lashes and brows came out even with my very limited makeup skills. The Brow Gel is my favorite out of the three since it helped me easily fill in my brows without much effort on my part. And the mascara is wonderful too, although I would suggest you get the primer too in order to prevent flaking. Now, flip through the before and after pictures and leave a comment to tell me what you think.
