Description of Box from Website:  “We provide monthly inspiration right to your door. Each box is themed after one of the nine muses in Greek mythology. In every box, you will receive loose leaf tea, information about the featured muse (like what you can do to summon her), and inspirational items such as journals, books, and creative items that you can use to bring out inspiration in yourself.”

This box was sent to us free of charge for review purposes.  View our Disclosure to learn more about our process.  This post may contain referral/affiliate links. If you buy something, The Review Girls may earn a commission.

The Muse Tea & Inspiration subscription box is much different from other tea boxes that we have seen.  This isn’t a box that only contains tea, it is much more than that.  Inside each box are tools that are aimed to motivate and inspire the subscriber’s creativity.  When they asked us to review their box I jumped at the chance.  What blogger doesn’t need inspiration now and then?

The first item I pulled out was the handwritten thank you card.  I am always delighted when boxes include one since it gives a very personal experience.  Also included was a collectible muse card for this month’s featured muse, Calliope.  Calliope is the muse of epic poetry.  I liked how this card set the theme for the rest of the box.

Peach Serenity Tea – Adaigo Tea – .8 OZ

Retail Value: $3
Peach Serenity - Adagio Tea

This caffeine free tea is one I will be ordering again.  I love the chunks of apples and peaches.  I actually tried a couple of pieces of the fruit after steeping my tea and they were so yummy.  This bag had enough for me to enjoy about 4 cups of tea.  Each time I had it warm, but I can’t wait to order it again and try some iced.

Tea Infuser

Retail Value: $5.50

fish tea infuser

I really love this fish tea infuser.  Fishing is one of my weekend hobbies, so this was the perfect product to receive in the box.  This also came in really handy when making the tea that also came in this subscription.  Since starting the blog I have a new-found love of loose leaf tea, so this will be used many more times in the future.

Happiness – Magnetic Poetry Kit

At first glance, I didn’t think this is a product that I would actually use.  I thought it was a cute novelty item and one that my son and I might enjoy together.  However, once I put these up on the fridge I found that the whole family enjoyed messing around with the words.  So far it has been used more to write each other good morning messages, but I know as my son grows so will the use of these.

Notebook

Estimated Retail Value: $3

What writer doesn’t need a small notebook?  This ribbon bound notebook is the perfect size to through into my purse.  I will be using this to jot down inspiration when I’m away from my computer.  I love that the pages are very thick so I can use a marker without worrying about it bleeding onto the next page.

Heidi Swapp Pen Set

Retail Value: $6.93

Heidi Swapp Pen Set

Every good writer needs some nice pens so I was happy to get this delightful set.  I like the simple phrases and adorable designs.  These pens write very smooth and are a great addition to my pen cup.

Overall

The value of the products adds up to a little more than the monthly price of this box.  More than that, this box is perfectly curated for the subscriber that needs motivation each month to get help get past obstacles that may be holding them back.  I feel like this would be a welcome box for any writers out there that need that added inspiration each month.  The only thing that would make this box better would be if there was a bit more tea included each month.  I really like how this subscription box has a theme each month based around Greek Muses.  Although since there are only nine muses,  I’m left to wonder where they will go after they have used each of them.  Will they start over and create new boxes based on each in a never-ending loop?  I am excited to see where they go with the theme.
