The very first thing that intrigued me about the MyFempowerment box is the major focus on the empowering of women.  They not only feature products from woman ran businesses, but also each season they donate a portion of their profits to a charity that supports women. This season they choose Grandmothers for Reproductive Rights.  Let’s dive into all the products and see which businesses we are empowering this month!

Busy Beauty, Gigantic Body Wipes Qty 4 – Retail Value: $6.98

These couldn’t have come at a better time for me.  I was packing for a three-night camping trip to a place with no shower facilities.  I knew that would be the perfect opportunity to test out this item.  While I wouldn’t say the wipe is “gigantic”, it was a decent size.   Overall it did a great job of feeling me feeling refreshed and didn’t have an overwhelming scent to it.  I would liken it to a baby wipe that is maybe about twice the size.

Skiin First Cosmetics, Biocellulose Face Masks Qty 2 – Retail Value: $11.00

These are the best face masks that I have ever used.  They have a silicone type of feeling, almost like ones that I’m used to for my under eye area.  There were two included in the box, however, I inadvertently didn’t get a picture of the first one that I used.  I regret not getting a picture of the first package of the one I used, however, I was enjoying it so much I didn’t realize that I forgot to snap a picture.   My skin felt silky smooth for days after using each of the masks.  These are a must-try for all mask lovers!

Lavender Kitchen, Vegan Blueberry Cookie – Estimated Retail Value: $3.99

I wasn’t expecting much for this cookie since it didn’t look all that appetizing.  Lavender Kitchen proved me wrong on passing judgment based on looks.  The cookie was amazing.  It was soft and chewy and it tasted so fresh.  If I’m ever passing through the Ogden, Utah area I will be sure to stop by the coffee shop that bakes these.

Naturally Vain, Miracle Eye Cream – Estimated Retail Value: $15.17

Getting older is hard work!  I have noticed my eyes getting wrinkles and dark circles lately and am always looking for a product to help slow down the aging process.  This cream feels very nice going on, it is very thick and luxurious.  My favorite part is that there aren’t chemicals or fragrance added so I feel good about using this product.  I couldn’t find this product on the Naturally Vain website, so I did estimate the value based on their other product prices.

My Paper Box, Fempoweress Notepad – Retail Value: $9.00

This is the perfect notepad for me to jot down notes for upcoming reviews.  I love the quote and the design is gorgeous.  I checked out My Paper Box website and they have some really cute options for personalized notepads as well.

Quiver and Bow, Handmade Zippered Cluth – Retail Value: $28.00

Until I reread the insert, I had no idea that this clutch was handmade.  The quality is amazing.  I am digging the pattern and the colors too.  Also, this clutch was specially designed and handmade just for this box, making it extra special!  This product will be a well-loved addition to my purse.   Make sure to head to the Quiver and Bow Boutique’s Etsy page, where you will find many other items!

Hippie Skin, Hippie Honey – Estimated Retail Value: $4.99

To be honest, I had to look up this product to know what exactly it was a scrub for.  Given the small size, I thought it was a lip scrub.  Turns out it is more of a travel size of their facial cleanser.  I tried it on a small section of my face to see how my skin would react to it.  It worked very well and wasn’t as coarse as I thought it would be.  I might end up getting the regular size jar of this scrub in the future.

Naturally Vain, Sleep Tight Massage Oil – Retail Value: $15.17

I think all women, in general, can relate to tossing and turning at night.  If it isn’t one thing keeping us awake, it’s another.  While I don’t remember the last time I used a massage oil before bed, I was still excited to try this product.  The first week I used just a small about on the back of my neck to see how I would like it.  Lavender is one smell that normally gives me a migraine, so I was a bit hesitant.  I was relieved when I woke up feeling refreshed with no sign of a migraine.  This bottle is sure to last me an incredibly long time and I’m excited to try it for a whole back massage at some point.  I couldn’t find this item listed on their website either, so I did estimate the price.

Overall Thoughts

While many of the items I had to estimate the prices of, the value of the box is still outstanding!  The variety of products was a perfect mix for me and gave me items that I could use right away as well as some that I will get to cherish a little longer.  Of course, the best part of the MyFempowerment box is the fact that I’m able to support a small female-run business.  There are so many amazing companies out there and without a box like this to get the word out, some of them can easily be overlooked.  I am looking forward to seeing where MyFempowerment goes from here!
