When it comes to our pets, we all know they’re like our children. I may get a few eye rolls saying that but, truly, my pets are family to me and I know it’s up to myself to guarantee they’re getting the best food on the market. It’s pretty scary knowing how many pet food recalls are on the market as well. That’s why I was so happy to learn about Ollie, food for our dogs that made of human-grade food! Meaning yes, we could technically eat it, but, we should probably let our furry friend savor their own food.

Ollie’s sign up is really easy. Once you go to their website, you answer some quick questions about your pet including their age, breed, weight, allergies, lifestyle, etc. It took me about 5 minutes to do this for my dog, KC. After that, I picked whether or not I wanted a full package of food for KC, or partial. Given that KC is 12 years young, I decided it might be best to try the partial food experience, given her age and the fact she has allergies.

I love how easy Ollie makes it begin feeding your pet. With all the detailed instructions, there’s zero guesswork.

As you can see, Ollie sent over 14 trays of Hearty Beef eats for KC. This will be portioned out and be given to her half with her normal food, and half with the new Ollie food.

KC cannot eat chicken so that’s why I chose the beef option for her to start with.

This “Welcome to the Pack!” insert that was sent with her food was a very nice touch. The how-to guide was really appreciated as it gave me details not on how to feed KC but, also more information about Ollie and what the company was all about. I felt good knowing that I was giving KC some very healthy and fresh food.

As you can see from above, the details in the insert are really helpful. In my opinion the more details, the better. It seems obvious (for lack of a word) how to feed your pet but, you really never know how their tummies will react. I was also interested in learning more about the company so it was cool they included more information in that as well.

Time to eat!

Ollie includes in their box this awesome Tupperware type dish. It not only helps to scoop out the perfect portion but, it helps keep your fridge clean and your pup’s food fresh by sealing the food closed.

I can’t say this food looks appetizing but, knowing it’s made of all fresh human-grade food is a huge plus.Ā

KC is a bit of a chow hound, so she honestly could not wait to eat!

KC thoroughly enjoyed every bit of her food. In fact, she probably could have eaten some seconds, had I allowed her.

Also, this good girl got a reward! She earned her certificate for the “Clean Bowl Club” since she finished her dinner and didn’t leave a scrap to be seen.

Because Ollie supplies a container to store food in, it makes it easy to store several meals at a time. Just be sure to keep an eye on the dates!

Overall Thoughts

Overall Ollie has been a great subscription service for KC in a couple of weeks she has eaten the food. She hasn’t had any stomach issues and the partial food servings along with the container have made it easy to store enough food at a time. It also is nice to compact all the food together so it takes up less food in the fridge.

Although KC is a real food lover, it does seem like she is overall enjoying eating fresher food besides the normal dry food. As I’ve mentioned before, it’s extremely important for me to feed my pets healthy and decent food. She’s part of my family and I take her health just as seriously as I do for the rest of my family members.

Ollie’s website is also extremely easy to use. I love that there was no long survey and it wasn’t difficult to navigate. I also had to email their customer service a question and they got back to me extremely quickly! That was so nice.
