The theme of this month was “Bright & Zesty” and included some familiar brands as well as some low carb products that are new to us. As always, the informative insert had all of the nutrition information laid out for me to know exactly what was in my box. Let’s dive into the products featured this month.
Vitalize Mints, Lemon – Retail Value $3.50
Vitalize Mints is one of our go-to brands for sugar-free candy. Their flavors are always perfect. This is the first time I have tried the lemon flavor, and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Check out their website for even more delicious options!
Qwackers, Cheddar Crackers – Estimated Value $2.99
I wasn’t expecting much from these crackers since it seemed to be more aimed at children. But I have to say they were very good. If you like cheese, you will like this snack. As with most cheese crackers, there is a bit of an aftertaste, almost like a powdery taste, but it isn’t overwhelming. They are supposed to be shaped like ducks, however, most of them arrived in crumbles so I can’t say that would be a selling point for me. I estimated the price of this product since I couldn’t find a 1oz bag for sale anywhere.
Dang, Chocolate Sea Salt Bar – Retail Value $2.77
Dang is right! This bar is scrumptious! It was very dense and kept me full for hours. This could easily replace a meal for me and keep me satisfied. I really liked the sea salt flavor mixed with the chocolate.
Keto Baking Co, Snickerdoodle Granola – Retail Value $3.25
Keto Baking Co has a whole new take on what is classified as granola! They have mixed pieces of cookie in with walnuts, coconut, almonds and more to create a real treat! I loved the chunks of coconut since that gave an unexpected twist on a typical snickerdoodle. This granola was a perfect snack for between breakfast and lunch.
IQ Bar, Lemon Blueberry – Retail Value $2.08
Pulling this bar out of the package was harder than I thought it would be due to the surface being very sticky. I wasn’t sure I would like it based off that, however, I have to admit this bar is delicious! The real blueberries and real lemon were a welcomed treat. The thick texture was really good and left me satisfied. These bars are a must-try!
Fat Snax, Double Chocolate Chip Cookies – Retail Value $2.50
I loved the lemon version when I reviewed the August 2018 Sleek Treat box, so I was excited to try another flavor. Once again, I was very impressed with this brand. Finding cookies that I can appreciate without the guilt is an incredible feeling.
Gorilly Goods, Baja Pumpkin Seed, Hemp, & Cilantro – Retail Value $2.58
Tis the season for snacking on pumpkin seeds. The Baja flavor is noted as “spicy lime pumpkin seeds + cilantro”. The seeds were a bit on the softer side but still had a decent crunch here and there. The spicy was perfect for me, just the right amount of kick. Also, the lime was a perfect flavor accompaniment to the spicy taste. I am a fan of these seeds.
Overall
This month from Sleek Treat brought a great variety of snacks for me to enjoy. I really like the fact that each month I find a few new snacks to add to my pantry. After reviewing several boxes from Sleek Treat I feel confident when I say I would recommend them to anyone following a low carb lifestyle.
