Chocolate Raspberry Cake – Eat Me Guilt Free

Retail Value: $3

Nutritional Info: Carbs (7g), Protein (22g), Fat (5g), Gluten Free, Flourless, No sugar, Sweetened with Stevia.

We have both been following the Eat Me Guilt Free brand since starting Keto earlier this year.  This was our first time trying their product and we were both uber excited.  That being said, we had to split the cake as to not start a fight.  It was mouthwatering.  The texture was just right, no taste of protein powder, and the aftertaste was that of sweet ripened raspberries.  Within minutes we were on their website looking to order more goodies from them.

Coco Almond Bar – Stoka Nutrition

Retail Value: $2.99

Nutritional Info: Carbs (4g net), Protein (9g), Fat (23g), Gluten Free, Sweetened with Erythitol and Stevia Leaf Extract.

Stoka isn’t a brand that I had heard of before getting it in the Sleek Treat box.  After looking over the nutritional information I decided to give it a try as an afternoon treat for myself.  I wasn’t really sold on the first bite.  It was okay, but nothing that I would buy in the future.  However, three bites in I started to really love it.  The nice crunch of the bar left me wanting more.  The cocoa is not as bold as I would have hoped, but the almond aspect is perfect.  I will be ordering more of these to keep at my desk for days when I need a quick treat.

Mesquite Smoked Almonds – Sohnrey Family Foods

Retail Value: $1.99

Nutritional Info: Carbs (2g Net), Protein (5g), Fat (15g), Sugar (2g), Gluten Free.

I was happy to see some almonds in this box since they are normally a staple in my purse.  They are so easy to take and eat on the go.  I really liked trying a new brand to see how they stack up against what I have been eating.  Overall these were very good.  Just the right amount of crunch and flavor that left me satisfied for over four hours.  I plan to order some of the other flavors that this company offers.

Sour Blue Raspberry – Snowflakes Candy Mints

Retail Value: $6.39

Nutritional Info: Carbs (1g), Protein (0g), Fat (0g), Sugar (0g), Gluten Free, Vegan, GMO Free, No sugar, Sweetened with Xylitol.

Since starting Keto, I’ve had to give up all candy since sugar isn’t approved.  I didn’t think I would find a sugar free alternative to satisfy my sweet tooth.  So I decided I wouldn’t waste my time or money trying to find one that I liked.  When I saw the tin container of these in our box I didn’t have high hopes.  however, these are one of the best candies I have had in a long time.  Right away I had to have Noelle try one of them to see if I was exaggerating.  She loved them just as much as I did.  I had a total of six people try these and everyone agreed they are delicious.  Needless to say, I already ordered a 1 pound bag of the Tropical Mix flavor from Snowflake Candy Mints.

Synchro Ketomanna Ketogenic Chocolate

Retail Value: $2.35

Nutritional Info: Carbs (3g Net), Protein (3g), Fat (22g), Sugar (1g), MCT (10g), 100% plant based, Sweetened with Monk Fruit.

I’d never really tried a product like this before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’d heard of people drinking what’s called Bulletproof coffee (long story short, it’s butter/coconut oil blended in coffee. Fascinating, I know!) and adding MCT oil in it for extra fat to keep you full. I didn’t blend the coffee but added some of this product in and I was pleasantly surprised. You could taste the chocolate and it didn’t have an overly fake sugary taste. I can’t say if I would buy this again, only because I don’t feel I need it (I prefer to eat ;)) but, I’d still recommend this product if you do use MCT oil and you’re looking for ways to add in extra fat into your Keto diet.

Caramel Peanut Whey Protein Bar – Detour Style

Retail Value: $1.39

Nutritional Info: Carbs (9g Net), Protein (10g), Fat (4g), Sugar (2g), Non-GMO, Sweetened with Stevia.

This bar is pretty decent for being Keto but, I wasn’t a huge fan. To be fair though, it does take a lot to impress me with items like this. Most of them tend to taste pretty chalky and not flavorful so I only like a select few of them. This one didn’t taste horrible but, I wouldn’t purchase it again. I could taste the whey protein in it and I think that’s what turned me off. If I received another one as a free sample I would eat it in a pinch, but, wouldn’t seek out to try it again.

Protein Crisps Brickoven Pizza – Shrewd Food

Retail Value: $1.87

Nutritional Info: Carbs (2g), Protein (14g), Fat (3g), Sugar (1g)

These were simply AMAZING! One thing I personally miss on the Keto diet is a snack with some crunch, especially since I love salty snack foods like pretzels, popcorn,  and chips. These crisps did not disappoint at all. They actually do taste like pizza, and they gave me something to crunch on without any kind of guilt. I also like that they have a good amount of protein in them, and not a ton of fat, so even if you weren’t watching your diet, these would be an item that you could also have with no guilt. The entire bag is only 2 carbohydrates so I definitely plan to purchase these in the future.

Overall

Our overall opinion of this box is that it was really good. We both agree that as far as Keto snacks go, this box contained some very good ones. This box offers a way to sample some goodies and also have the experience of getting them conveniently delivered right to us! Even though you’re paying a little more than you would if you purchased these items as individual snacks, you’re still getting the convenience of the box delivered to your door, the experience of trying new and fun snacks and also not making a commitment to purchase all of the items in the larger quantity and then not like them. Both of us have unfortunately purchased some not so great low carb snacks and it’s disappointing to spend a lot of money on them and find that they’re not what you expected. Sleek Treat tastes test all products before deciding to add them to their box, which takes the guesswork out of it for us.  We both highly recommend this box, and have told all our friends and family about it!
