We are always thrilled to receive our Sleek Treat Box in the mail. The theme of this month was “Summer Solstice” and included some familiar brands as well as some low carb products that are new to us.  As always, the informative insert had a great theme and all the nutrition information laid out for me to know exactly what was in my box. I love how detailed the inserts are!  Let’s dive into the products featured this month.

Stoka Bar, Peanut Chocolate Chip – Retail Value $2.79

Stoka Bars are hands down my favorite low carb bars.  They are always the perfect amount of crunch and flavor.  I was downright giddy to try this new flavor.  Stoka didn’t disappoint!  This bar is just as good, if not better than all their other flavors.  I need to order more of these right away.

Smart Baking Co, Smart Cakes Cinnamon – Retail Value $3.50

Having tried these before in a Sleek Treat box, I knew that these SmartCakes were delicious.  The picture below is a picture of the cakes the last time I tried them.  This pack I ended up saving for a day when I really need a boost.  But I can vouch for the fact that they taste just like a coffee cake muffin.   With zero carbs, there is all the taste with none of the guilt!

Quest, Chocolate Sprinkled Doughnut Protein Bar – Retail Value $2.08

Leading a low carb life isn’t always easy.  Especially when my husband and son are munching on a doughnut and I’m salivating just watching them.  So getting to taste test this protein bar was exciting.  I have to say, this bar is pretty tasty.   I like that it has the look of a doughnut, being visually appealing goes a long way for me.  The overall taste was very good too.  I did notice a slight aftertaste, almost a little chalky.  However, it wasn’t strong enough for it to bother me.

Dr. John’s, Tangy Melon Mints – Retail Value $3.99

Xylitol sweetened candy is hands down my favorite candy to cure my sweet tooth.   While these are my favorite low carb candy that I have tested, they are pretty good when I’m wanting something a tad on the sour side.  I really like the container though since it is easy to toss in my purse and not worry about them making a huge mess.

KetoBrownie, Blondie Brownie – Retail Value $3.00

I tried one of these brownies in last month’s box and was not a fan at all.  Needless to say, I was hesitant to try this new flavor.  I ended up splitting it with Noelle so I could get a second opinion.  We both agreed, it wasn’t bad, however, we wouldn’t call it a brownie either.  It is more of a protein bar.  All in all, the taste is decent and I would eat it again in the future.

Noosh Almond Butter, Cupcake Almond & Chocolate Mint Almond – Retail Value $1.80

This brand is another repeat that I’m always happy to receive.  I know there are all sorts of creative ways that people use these packets.  However, I eat them right out of the packet, they are that good!  No shame in my snack game.   The Cupcake flavor is and has been my favorite flavor to date.  This is my first time trying the Chocolate Mint, and it comes in a close second to the cupcake flavor.  Word to the wise, make sure you knead the package before opening…I always get overly excited and forget!

Dr. John’s, Classic Fruits Hard Candies – Retail Value $1.50

I like that Sleek Treat always includes some smaller candy items since those come in so handy throughout the month.  I tried the lemon one and was impressed.  I didn’t notice an after taste and wouldn’t have known it was sugar-free without being told.  I might end up ordering some more of these to keep on hand.

Overall

The only thing that I missed this month was the savory snack that is typically included.  I think this was the first month that didn’t have something to cure my salty cravings, which was a bit of a shock.  However, I’m always happy getting the Smartcakes and Stoka bars so my disappointment didn’t last long.  Have you subscribed to a low-carb or low sugar box?  If so, which ones and how did you like it?
