Once again, we were absolutely thrilled to receive our Sleek Treat Box. The theme of this month was “Spring Break” and included some familiar brands as well as some low carb products that are new to us.  The Keto Pop, I’m looking at you!

I really enjoyed the bright colors on the insert this month!  All the nutrition information is right on the insert. Let’s go over what was included in this month’s box, shall we?

Stoka Bar, Vanilla – Retail Value $2.99

This is a product that we are very familiar with.  After receiving in the June 2018 Sleek Treat box we have bought several boxes of these delicious granola bars off Amazon.  It had been a few months since I restocked on these so I was happy to get one again.  If you are looking for a new low carb treat, you need to try this bar.  The crunch is perfect and it has just enough sweetness to make it feel like you are splurging.

Lakanton 55% Cacao Chocolate With Cocoa Nibs – Retail Value $4.37

I am always ready to taste test low carb chocolate.  This bar was large and is actually two servings, which is nice since I can eat a little at a time.  There are cocoa nibs in the chocoalte, which I wasn’t sure what that meant until I bit into it.  The nibs almost taste like coffee beans, however, I’m sure it is cocoa beans.  Either way, I like the added texture to the otherwise smooth chocolate.  I would highly recommend you try this bar!

Norti Low Carb Classic Chocolate Bar – Retail Value $4.99

This is the first time that I have tried a chocolate bar that was sweetened with xylitol and I was beginning to wonder if it were even possible.  I consider xylitol my favorite sugar replacement since I don’t notice an aftertaste from it.  I’m so glad this item was included in the Sleek Treat box and I can’t wait to buy some more of these to keep in my snack drawer.

The Keto Pop, Coconut – Retail Value $1.48

I thought for a low sugar and a low carb option this was a really good product. No, it doesn’t taste as a normal lollipop would but, it had some sweetness to it. I could definitely taste the coconut milk so if you’re not a huge fan of it, this probably isn’t a good product for you. The only part I wasn’t a huge fan of was there was a slight aftertaste. However, if I was sticking to a true, low carb diet, I would definitely treat myself to one of these on special occasions since it was overall pretty good!

BHU Fit, Double Dark Chocolate Protein Cookie – Retail Value $2.99

Noelle was able to try the BHU Fit Chocolate Chip Cookie in the January 2019 Sleek Treat box and she loved it.  After hearing her rave about it, I was super excited to get my hands on one.  This cookie is so dang good.  It has the perfect soft chewy texture that I would expect in a “normal” cookie.  I can’t get over that this is what a low carb protein cookie tastes like.  I need to order these in bulk right away!

Nush, Cherry Almond Cake– Retail Value $2.99

This product is another repeat in the Sleek Treat box and one I can’t say I was stoked to see again.  I have tried these cakes in different flavors throughout my low carb journey.  Each time, I can’t get over the aftertaste and this time was no exception.  Noelle and I both tried it this time to make sure it wasn’t just me being picky.  We both agreed the aftertaste is terrible.  Also, the texture is very spongy which is a turn off for me.

Four Sigmatic Mushroom Elixir Mix – Retail Value $$2.70-$3.60

What in the low carb world is this?  I have never heard of this type of product so I was interested in trying it.  My expectations were pretty high based on the reviews on their website.  Most people commenting that they were able to cut coffee from their diet by drinking this tea.  Lately, I have noticed myself drinking more and more coffee and still feeling sleepy, so I figured this might be a great product for me.  So I grabbed a cup of hot water and mixed this powder in to see what it was all about.  The flavor and the smell were delicious if you like mushrooms.  It almost tasted like watered down soup broth.   I can’t say that I was energized or felt like I could drop my coffee habit by drinking this product, however, I really liked the taste so could see myself buying it again.

Overall thoughts

One thing I love about the Sleek Treat box is all the new goodies that I get to try.  Living a low carb lifestyle can be hard, however, this box makes it a million times easier.  They tend to include the perfect combination of sweet, salty, and crunchy snacks to cover all my cravings throughout the month.  I also like that they incorporate a mix of new products as well as some repeats.  Sometimes I forget about a brand and appreciate the delightful reminder of how much I loved it the first time.  I can’t wait to purchase some of these products in the future.
