I am a pizza lover to the end.  There is no way around it.  And when I am following the KETO lifestyle I typically opt for a cauliflower crust and am mostly satisfied.  The problem I run into is that I can only have about one slice before I’m over the carb threshold for the meal.  But what about a pizza crust made out of almond flour and mozzarella cheese?  Sooo Ketolicious sent us over their Premium Keto Pizza Crust for us to review, and I was pretty excited to see if the taste lived up to the hype.  We were lucky enough to be able to also review their Vanilla Dessert Crust.  Read on to see our thoughts on each product.

Premium Keto Pizza Crust

Obvious perks of the Sooo Ketolicious Pizza Crust: grain-free, gluten-free, non-gmo, no additives or preservatives, no added fillers, and certified Keto.  After looking over the Nutrition Facts, I saw I would be able to eat 1/3 of the pizza and only use 3 Net Carbs.  However, none of this matters if the crust doesn’t taste good.  I loaded my crust with sauce, mozzarella, bacon crumbles, and pepperoni and eagerly shoved it in my oven.

Initially, my son wasn’t going to try the pizza, after having tasted other dishes with almond flour in the past, he wasn’t interested.  But once the pizza came out he quickly decided he would give it a taste.  We both agreed that the pizza was spot on with any “normal” thin crust pizza we have eaten in the past.  There wasn’t the lingering almond flour taste that we both expected.  The mozzarella seemed to overpower it, which was ok with us.

Vanilla Keto Dessert Crust

I have to say that this was the crust I was most excited to try.  I have been waiting to make a Keto Lemon Cheesecake for about a month now.  And yes, I could have just made a crust…but to be honest, it looked incredibly daunting so I kept putting off this yummy dessert.  Once I saw this Vanilla Dessert Crust, I knew it would be perfect for the cheesecake.  I slightly revised the recipe from I Breath, I’m Hungry to use ingredients that I already had on hand.  The curst cracked a little when I placed it into my pie pan since it was a bit larger than the pan I had.  Even still the cheesecake looked delicious going into the oven.

And it looked even better coming out of the oven.  I mean look at that slice of heaven!  The cheesecake itself was mouthwatering.  It was thick, creamy, and just the right amount of lemon.  On the other hand, the crust was not what I expected at all.  Where the mozzarella was welcome in the pizza crust, in the dessert it was a bit off-putting.  While the taste wasn’t horrible, I can’t say that I am a fan of this dessert crust.

Overall

The Sooo Ketolicious pizza crust was amazing.  The taste was way better than any Keto pizza crust that I have tried.  The Net Carbs were better than I expected, allowing me to eat until I was full.  And the crust held together wonderfully (even with my heaping toppings).   I wholeheartedly suggest all of our low carb readers give this pizza crust a try!
