I decided to order this box for Christmas for my daughter, Norah. She is going through another growth spurt, and I can’t believe how tall she’s getting. I sometimes still cry a little, seeing her newborn onesies and image the day I brought her home from the hospital. Bittersweet. Now I get to have a ton of fun picking out clothes for her and help her create her own style! Luckily she’s never been a super picky kid, but, I’m sure that could change any day.

When you first sign up through Stitch Fix, you are given a styling profile to fill out for your child. This helps your stylist pick out items for your child that fit their needs, and you’re also given the opportunity to tell Stitch Fix what sizes to send.

I loved how everything was very personalized, and there was a nice note from Norah’s stylist, Kate. I always love when things are personalized!

There was also a box challenge that we could complete but, Norah wanted to put the stickers all over her toys, rather than build a box so, we had to skip that. No worries – maybe next time!

I’ll go through and highlight the stuff we kept, and then show you what else was in the box but, ultimately did not make the cut.

Toms, Alpargata Velcro Slip-on (Pink) – $34.00

I will never be able to resist buying a new pair of Toms. Not only is their mission absolutely wonderful (I suggest reading it if you don’t know all about it!) but, their shoes are so adorable and comfortable. I have owned many kinds of Toms shoes throughout the years, and I love them. I wear them for work,  casual looks, or a night out. It’s no surprise then of course that I had to snag this pair for Norah. I am cautiously not letting her wear them since it’s rainy and gross outside most days in the Seattle area but, I think these will make the perfect shoes for when we finally get some nice weather.

Joules, Kinnaid Quilted Packable Jacket (Pink) – $42.00

Normally I wouldn’t spend this much on a jacket but, I really loved this item. It wasn’t too puffy and it fit Norah like a glove. Her previous winter coat is pretty snug, so I was happy to finally retire that one and splurge a little bit on her. The only thing is the sleeves are a tiny bit long, but, it still works. She also really loved it and commented on how comfy and warm she felt in it!

Rumi + Ryder, Long Sleeve Hoodie (Dark Pink) – $20.00

This was one of my favorite shirts in the box. It was pretty lightweight, so I liked that so it could be worn underneath something on these chilly nights to keep my daughter warm. Again, total splurge item but, I knew I wanted to keep a few items so this one was perfect.

Under Armour – Graphic Pullover (Grey) – $26.00

I love Under Armour for myself, especially for layering in the winter time. I loved the stars on this shirt, and knew I needed to add it quickly to Norah’s clothing collection! It has room for her to grow in so I liked that so I can keep it around for a while and not worry about her growing out of it too quickly!

Below are some pictures of the items I did not keep. Some of the items didn’t fit, some were too expensive, and some just weren’t that stylish in my opinion.  The least favorite item was the ruffled black and white shirt. The sleeves bothered me too much and since Norah doesn’t exactly have a style yet I wasn’t too keen on keeping it. I also got the sense when she tried it on that she didn’t seem to particularly like it. She loved the unicorn pants the best but, they were a tiny bit too short so we decided to send them back. That was a bit disappointing, but, I’m sure we will find something just as nice when she gets her next box in the spring for her birthday.

One thing I love about Stitch Fix is that if you decide to keep all your items, they take 25% off your total styling fee! If I had kept all of these items, I would have paid $172.00 (Total of items x 25% savings, and minus the already $20 styling fee which you pay regardless or not if you keep anything) which is a complete steal for all these awesome clothes!

Overall thoughts

Overall, I did like this box but, I do have to admit it’s a bit expensive for me. Kids grow so fast, as most parents know, so I typically just can’t imagine spending this much regularly on my family’s budget.  I’m going to reserve ordering this box a couple of times for special occasions, which is the beauty of Stitch Fix – you can skip boxes as often as you like! Now, if I had unlimited funds, I would have probably kept everything just for the discount alone! I have to say that the convenience of getting new items each month without having to drag your kid(s) to the store is also worth it.
