Smart Sweets – Gummy Bears

Retail Value: $3.29

I was excited to get these in this month’s box.  I have tried the sour gummy bears in a past Sleek Treat box and was curious if the regular ones were just as yummy.  Spoiler alert: they are just as delicious as the sour version!  I only got about five bears in before my 4 year old decided he wanted to finish the rest.  He was shocked that I let him chow down on the “whole bag” since I tend to limit his sugar intake.  After he devoured the bag I asked what he thought.  His answer, “Can we put those on my Christmas list?”.  Needless to say, I will be buying these in bulk since I can feel good about giving them to my son.

Synchro Ketomanna Ketogenic Chocolate

Retail Value: $2.35 x 3 = $7.05

We got one of these in a Sleek Treat box and were happy to give them another go.  I like that three packs were included in this box since it gave me a chance to experiment with using them in different ways.  The first pack I added to my black coffee to give it some extra flavor.  I wasn’t a fan of that since it made my coffee oily and gave it a bitter taste.  The next pack I enjoyed right out of the package (on a spoon and down the hatch).  That was a little better than drinking it in my coffee, the taste reminded me of chocolate-covered coconuts.  Lastly, I froze a pack and enjoyed it as a chocolate bar.  The bar was the way to go.  Easy to eat, no oily after taste, it was like any other chocolate bar, except for less sugar!

RX Nut Butter – Honey Cinnamon PB, Vanilla Almond Butter, Almond Butter

Retail Value: $2.50 x 3 = $7.50

Peanut butter is one of my go-to snacks when I need a quick boost of energy.  I didn’t even know that RX made these nut butter spreads so I was excited to try them out.  I ate each one right out of the packet to make sure I got the full flavor.  The Vanilla Almond Butter was my favorite, however, I want to point out that each one had a perfect texture and very mild taste.  At $2.50 a packet, I can’t say that I will buy a lot more of these, but I could see myself buying a few to keep on hand for hikes or even camping trips.

Skout – Organic Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Retail Value: $4 x 2 = $8

Considering these are the same product with just a flavor variation, I was surprised at how different the products were from each other.  The cocoa-flavored ones were perfectly crunchy while the sea salt flavor had a chewier texture.  Even with the difference in the crunch, I was a fan of these pumpkin seeds.  With fall fast approaching I could see myself snacking on these every once in a while to subside my chip cravings.

Adapt Protein Bar – Peanut Butter

Retail Value: $2.99

I have to say I wasn’t a fan of this protein bar.  The bar was hard to chew and had a very chalky aftertaste.  I have tried a lot of protein bars in the past, while I wouldn’t say this is the worst one I have ever had, I won’t be ordering this in the future.

GoMix – Superfood TrailMix

Retail Value: $2.08 x 2 = $4.16

I have never heard of this brand before, but man they have a new customer in me.  These little snacks are delicious and oh so filling.  The taste of both products was a perfect mix of salty and sweet.  I will be ordering these over and over again.

Protein Crisps Brickoven Pizza – Shrewd Food

Retail Value: $1.87

Nutritional Info: Carbs (2g), Protein (14g), Fat (3g), Sugar (1g)

This is another snack that we had received in our July Sleek Treat box.  Noelle had the chance to try them for that box, so I was happy to give them ago this month.  These are incredible little bites of joy.  Pizza is the one thing that I have missed while on keto and these really made me feel like I don’t have to miss out on that flavor.  The crunch is perfect, they don’t leave a protein powder taste in my mouth and I can eat the whole bag with no guilt.  I have a feeling this will be one of my new snack staples.

Overall

The price of these products is a little under the monthly price of this box.  However, like any food box, I feel the value is in them finding worthy products for us to snack on all month.  Low carb/sugar snacks can be a pain to find and I really like the convenience of being sent a box full of snacks that I can count on to get me through any cravings that come throughout the month. Having someone tailor my snack experience to my keto needs is worth the money.  Also, I would opt for a longer subscription to bring the price point down a tad.
