When Cranium Crate contacted us to review their box, I was extremely intrigued and knew we had to find out what they were all about. Prior to reviewing this box, I didn’t really know how much cool stuff was out there with skulls on it! I’ve always associated skulls with Halloween and October but, as I guide you through was in this box, I think you’ll be pretty impressed, just like I was. This month had a coffee theme which was a perfect match for me. I have to have my cup of coffee every day to function so I was really glad when I opened the box and saw that.

One thing that stood out to me was the idea of finding products that contained skulls from all over the world. I really love this idea and think this is genius.

Raven’s Brew Deadman’s Reach Coffee 

I am a HUGE coffee lover and could drink it all the time if I could. I kid you not when I say this coffee was made for me. I have so many mornings where I’m dragging myself out of bed to make it to my workout class and I’m usually tempted to go right back to bed. Now I know of the perfect pick me up coffee to have when I’m really struggling in the mornings. I also love dark roasted coffee, so this was quite an enjoyable item to see in the box! Being from Seattle I set the bar pretty high for coffee flavors, and this one definitely tasted amazing and one I plan to purchase in the future.

I’m a little surprised that I’ve never heard of this brand before since I can buy it right in my local grocery stores. As mentioned above, I plan to look for it next time I’m out and about since I enjoyed my brew so much.

Deadman’s Reach Coffee Mug

I was also really happy to see mug in the box to perfectly go with the bag of coffee. I’m building a “coffee bar” in my kitchen since I’m pretty much obsessed with coffee, so I’m going to add this to my collection of mugs. I really love the saying “Served in Bed, Raises the Dead”.

Sweet as Sin Sugar Cubes by Wicked Tea Party

These are a great find to add to the box! I usually don’t put sugar in my coffee but, when I do, these are going to be perfect for my morning cup of coffee. Although, honestly, I wish I could save these because I think they’re too cool to use! I guess I will have to order some more of these for the future since they’re a unique item, and I would love to put these out and serve with coffee when I have friends or family over for a brunch at my house.

Skull Shaped Spoons

To mix up the sugar cubes, or creamer/sugar in the future, these 2 cool skull shaped spoons were included in the box. Not only could I use these with all my new coffee gear but, I also thought that these will be really fun to use in the future for a party. I like that they are actual metal spoons too and not cheap plastic ones.

Sugar Skull Coasters

I really love these coasters and again, I thought they were a unique and great item to include in the box. I also liked that they nicely tied into the overall theme of the box since I can set my mug of coffee on one of them to avoid any messes. The design and the details on them are pretty intricate and beautiful to look at.

Stickers & Skull Figure 

Cranium Crate also included these cool stickers and a mini skull in the box. I’ve already got two of them on my suitcase since I collect them, and gave the other one to my husband to put on his. I hope someone asks me about them when I’m out and about so I can let them know about this subscription box!

Overall Thoughts

Wow, what a neat subscription service. Not only did the items included in this box fit well for my lifestyle, but, I really loved the uniqueness of the box. Something I noticed was how well the box was packed and put together, which may not seem like a huge deal but, when I receive boxes to review, this always stands out to me so I appreciated how much time and thought was put into making sure the items were kept safe for delivery. I’m really excited to see what different themes and items The Cranium Crate includes in their future boxes. If this first one is any indication of what they will plan to do in the future, then I really think they are going to knock it out of the park.
