We were excited to get the chance to review another PNW Box since we loved the first one so much (see the previous review here).   I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest so I feel like this box was made for someone like me.  I really like that it showcases small businesses from the area and gives off the PNW vibe that I crave.  The first items in the box were inserts that list the companies included in this months box along with their website information, also a business card for The PNW Box, and an insert to rate each product.  Let’s dive into the products.

Happy Camper Decals – Jojo’s Kustom Xpressions

Estimated Retail Value: $10

These decals are adorable and I love the “Happy Camper” message and the artwork is perfect! I personally don’t put decals on my vehicle so I plan on gifting these to someone that I know will love them.  The quality seems really nice, they are thick and had detailed installation instructions provided.

Greeting Card – Green Gates Images

Estimated Retail Value: $4

This beautiful note card will be perfect to send to a loved one to let them know that I’m thinking of them.  I really like to write unexpected cards to people throughout the year, so this was a great product to receive.  Also, Green Gates Images has so really neat party decoration products on their Etsy page, so I will keep them in mind for future party planning.

Goat Milk & Reishi Mushroom Face CreamJust 1 Acre

Retail Value: $18

I will be 100% honest about this cream.  When I first smelled this product I wasn’t a fan.  I did a little research on the ingredients and found they are supposed to be helpful for anti-aging and wrinkles.  Since the smell was too overpowering to use on my entire face, I went ahead and used it daily on my forehead for two weeks.  I can’t say that I see a huge improvement, however, I do feel like it has made a slight difference in those stubborn forehead wrinkles.

Brooch  – DJK’S Jewelry Design

Estimated Retail Value: $10

This handmade brooch is perfect for the October box!  I don’t normally wear many accessories but I happen to know someone that wears a new brooch for every holiday, so I can’t wait to gift this to her.  I know it will make her day.

Handmade Magnet – Pine and Poppies

Retail Value: $5

This was my favorite item in the box.  I happen to collect magnets and I don’t have anything like this one.   This is another handmade item that is so unique.  I believe these were actually limited edition made for the PNW Box, so I’m really honored we got the chance to review this box so I can add it to my collection.

LED Paracord BraceletKnot A Cord

Retail Value: $7

I have been wanting to get a paracord bracelet for years and have just kept putting it off.  Just when I thought I couldn’t get any more excited about this item, I realized there was a switch which turned on a LED light.  I have never seen a light up version so that blew my mind.  I am thinking about buying more of these as a stocking stuffer for my brothers.  I think they will love them just as much as I do.

Portland SoapBearded Oregon

Retail Value: $7

Being that I was born in Oregon (Salem), I loved finding this soap in my box.  As mentioned in previous reviews, I have switched over to bar soap in an attempt to cut down on my household plastic usage.  Therefore anytime I get a handmade artisan soap, I’m pretty ecstatic.  And as a coffee nut, there wasn’t a better scent to receive.

Coupons

I always toss coupon in my purse and look for the products on my next shopping trip, so this was a nice little bonus.  I actually still have my Tofurky coupon from the last PNW Box that I received.  I have looked in the stores that are said to carry their products but haven’t been lucky enough to find any.  However, I have two coupons now when I do find some.

Overall

There are not many boxes out there that can pull off such a niched vibe month after month.  Seriously, those who live in this area can truly understand the beauty we are constantly surrounded by. I feel like The PNW Box has done such an amazing job at finding products from Pacific Northwest’s small businesses that subscribers across the board get to have a small piece of how special this place really is.  The value of the items included well exceeded the price of this box.  And while I will be gifting some of the items, that is okay with me.  Part of the beauty of receiving subscription boxes is being able to share items with others and share how much we love the boxes we receive. The PNW is no different!

2/27/19 UPDATE: It appears this box is no longer for sale.  Visit Cratejoy to view similar boxes.
