I’m a huge fan of the TV Show Shark Tank, so when we were contacted by Wicked Good Cupcakes and learned that they have a Treat of the Month club, we knew we had to jump on the opportunity to try out this subscription! I also happen to be a very big fan of desserts, especially cupcakes, so I was so excited to get this in the mail. I wasn’t sure what to expect about a cupcake in a jar but, I was pretty confident I would enjoy it.

One thing I do really love about this idea is that it makes for a perfect gift to send to that special someone in your life. I can’t imagine normal cupcakes are easy to ship to someone, but, with Wicked Good Cupcakes, it’s a complete game-changer.

Taken from their website, the cupcakes are described as…“Each jar is hand packed with the equivalent of 2 CUPCAKES and lasts up to 10 days without refrigeration or can be frozen for up to 6 months. We ship anywhere in the United States. Once you try one of our Wicked Good cupcake jars, you may never want to eat a regular cupcake again!”

Upon receiving the box, I could not wait to open it and taste test what we were sent! When signing up, there’s the option to pick either 2, 4, or 6 jar dessert subscriptions. So depending on how many desserts you can eat in one month (for me, the limit does not exist) you can cater your subscription to fit your needs. Or, if sending as a gift, you can pick the right amount to send.

For the best enjoyment of the desserts, it’s suggested to eat them within one week. That definitely would not be a problem for me! It’s also really nice that refrigeration is not required. That way you don’t have to worry about refrigerating the desserts and they make a perfect dessert to travel with, or to gift to someone who may not be able to refrigerate the dessert right away.

We were sent 2 of the cupcakes that Wicked Good Cupcakes offers:  Mr. Wonderful’s Cookie Butter & Natalie’s 24 Karat Kake.  Included in the package were also sent two spoons. I thought that was so awesome and little things like that are always appreciated. Especially if this was being sent as a gift. What a great thing to include that has a nice touch for the person receiving the box.

Now I had no choice but, to dig right in.

Natalie’s 24 Karat Kake

“Classic carrot cake baked with shredded carrots, walnuts and chocolate chips layered with our homemade cream cheese, buttercream frosting and topped with a walnut.”

I absolutely love carrot cake so it was no surprise to me that this cupcake was just as delicious as it looked.

The top layer consists of buttercream, cream cheese frosting, a walnut, and cinnamon. I only wish everyone could smell how wonderful it was upon opening! I felt like someone had just baked me a fresh carrot cake.

I could not help myself and took a nice big spoonful. The second layer consists of delicious carrot cake and chocolate chips. Underneath that is another layer of frosting, and then cake. Oh was this so good! Again, I wish that the readers could taste & smell just how good this cupcake was. It truly tasted like someone had just made it and cut me a slice right off the cake.

Mr. Wonderful’s Cookie Butter

“We’ve taken our yummy cinnamon cake and layered it between our homemade caramel and our cookie butter buttercream frosting. To top it off we added a dollop of Biscoff cookie butter in the center. This is truly a new customer fave!”

I really do think cookie butter is one of the best things on this earth! So I knew this was going to be another big hit for me.

The cookie butter in the very center, mixed with the frosting was such a scrumptious combination. I did not think cookie butter could get any better than it already is but, mixed with the frosting, it’s on another level.

Now mixed with the cinnamon cake, all of the flavors of the cupcake complimented each other so well. I would never have thought to mix cookie butter with cinnamon cake but, I’m so glad this flavor was created. It made it very hard to choose between this dessert and the carrot cake. They were both just that good. I didn’t even want to share either of them with my family!

Overall Thoughts

Overall, this subscription is such a fun and unique product. I know there are many people out there like me who have the urge to satisfy their sweet tooth on a regular basis. I can’t think of a much better way to do that than with Wicked Good’s Treat of the Month Club. The jars are extremely convenient to pack on a trip, or they make the perfect gift to give to a family member, a friend, a coworker, or anyone important in your life. I think many people would agree that receiving a cupcake in a jar would make a pretty good gift! I can also confirm that the cupcakes tasted extremely fresh and delicious. I did eat them the day I received them but, you do have up to a week to open up the treats to enjoy. My only warning is, these are SO good that I promise you will not want to share them with anyone! With the holidays coming up, wouldn’t this make the perfect gift for someone? I think so!
