HONEYLOVE was generous enough to send me a pair of their NEW Leggings 2.0 to review. Since the pandemic started, I have practically lived in black leggings. And while I have a favorite pair already, I decided to put HONEYLOVE’s pair to the test. After inputting my measurements their site directed me to the XL Leggings. Typically I am large in leggings, so I was a bit skeptical in their sizing recommendation. Luckliy, HoneyLove offers FREE returns for 30 days, so I knew if the sizing was off that they would help me make it right. A few days later, I was ripping open my package and trying on the new product!
Background
Remember when I said I LIVE in leggings? I wasn’t joking. I bought about 5 pairs of my favorite brand back in mid-2019 and wear them any time I’m at home. And since I work from home, I spend most of my days in leggings. The most important features for me are comfort, quality, and pockets. Something I never really put much thought into was compressive features to help my shape. But if I’m going to live in leggings, I might as well be looking like a baddie. Honeylove knew what I needed before I even did. Let’s try them on and see if they check all of my other boxes.
Overall
The material on the Honeylove leggings is a bit different from what I’m used to…in a good way. It seemed thinner, but they were not see-through AT ALL. Yes, I did the bend-over test to make sure I wasn’t going to flash anyone. The look is more of something I could see myself wearing to run errands, vs the PJ look of the leggings I typically wear. See the pictures below of my (old) favorite leggings compared to the Honeylove Leggings 2.0. Overall, I don’t see a huge improvement in my shape, there are differences in the back view and a little in the tummy area (viewed from the sides). I think the XL might be a tad too big for me though, as I have noticed them rolling down after about an hour of wear. I will be trying a size large out in the next few weeks and will update this review then. Overall the quality, comfort, and pockets are perfection. For me personally, the price point on the HoneyLove 2.0 Leggings is above what I’m used to spending. That being said, I could see myself buying a pair of them every other year or so as a splurge. I do think the quality is worth the price.
Update on Fit/Sizing
I was able to get a pair of the size large and am happy to say that they fit much better overall. The compression was more noticeable and they no longer rolled down. One thing I love about HoneyLove is the exchange policy!
