One area I know I struggle with is taking pictures to capture special moments. Even before having my daughter, I was never really great about taking photos on vacations, at events, or any other special occasion. It’s actually kind of ironic, considering my dad happens to really be into photography and worked in that industry for a good 20+ years! I like to think that I live in the moment and don’t look at a screen while happy moments are right in front of me. However, I also love being able to look back at good times with pictures, so it’s a bit of a catch 22.
Mootsh Photos is a great subscription service that allows you to print out 10 quality photos each month, and have them delivered right to your house. You do not have to worry about printing out a bunch of photos a couple times a year – now you can have beautiful images printed every month, for only $16 a month!
Signing up was also super easy.
After heading to the website to sign up – you create an account by answering a few simple areas. You can choose to get borders on your photos or no borders.
Next, enter your billing information.
After that – quickly confirm you want to purchase the membership. It cost $16 the day you order, then $16 will be a reoccurring subscription on the 2nd of every month. You can easily cancel at any time.
Mootsh makes it very easy to add in each photo. They also pick the dimensions of what the photo will be printed in, based on how the picture is cropped. However, you can always change that, should you want a different size print. There are currently 4 different sizes you can order in.
After that, you confirm your options and it’s time to wait until your pictures come in the mail! It takes between 2-5 business days for the pictures to arrive. I received mine in about 4 days.
I was very happy to see my photos came in a sturdy envelope. There would be nothing worse than getting a bunch of bent pictures after patiently waiting on them to arrive. You can’t rely too much on delivery services to make sure your packages don’t get messed up, unfortunately.
How cute is this inner envelope? I love the design – it feels very personable to me in a way!
Pictured above was an insert that Mootsh included in the picture envelope as well. They outline what I mentioned above on how to order photos. I love how they describe it as a monthly ritual. It feels like a good ritual that I can get behind!
Now the real question I’m sure many of you are wondering. So how did the pictures turn out?
I think it’s a little difficult to tell when taking a picture, of a picture, but, I’m very impressed with the quality! Mootsh’s website mentions the prints…” premium photographic paper each month, wrapped in an acid-free glassine envelope.” They turned out very nice! I’ve ordered online prints before and some pictures ended up looking a little grainy, but, none of the prints from Mootsh had that issue. I didn’t picture all of the photos that I had printed because a couple of the photos I ordered had my friend’s kids in them, and due to privacy, I didn’t include those.
Mootsh also includes this really cool dated contact sheet (again, I hid some of the photos I printed) with the month and date so you can always recall when your memories were created.
The picture of my daughter and I turned out so nice. I’m really thankful that I printed this shot!
Overall Thoughts
Overall – I’m really digging this subscription. I try as hard as I can not to constantly be on my phone when I’m spending quality time with my daughter, family, friends, etc. but, with a service such as Mootsh – I can see why it would be worth it to break that rule a few times in order to capture some special memories. I’m not only impressed with how easy it was to order the prints and how quickly they deliver but, their customer service was also really fast and responsive when I reached out to them. If you’re the type of person who is really into photography or just loves having pictures printed out to decorate your home or office – trust me when I say that you will want to check out Mootsh Photos! It’s well worth the price of the subscription.
