Aloe & Seagrass Candle – Northern Lights Windward Collection

Retail Value: $35

I don’t know where to start with this candle.  The beautiful hand blown vessel is made from recycled glass.  The insert lists a burn time of  45 hours, but I’m even excited for the 45 hours to wind down since I can reuse the container around the house.  The scent is heavenly even before it being lit.  And, it fits perfectly in our ocean-themed bathroom.  I’m not one that would normally pay $35 for a candle, but this is one I could see myself splurging on.

Exfoliating Sugar Cubes – Harper Ari

Retail Value: $12

I love sugar scrubs and thought I had seen all there was to see of these wonderful exfoliating products.  However, this is a new item for me.  I have never reviewed a sugar scrub cube so I was immediately intrigued.  I could smell the scent scents before I opened the package.  Since these cubes are so adorable, and useful, I decided to place them on a soap dish in the bathroom.  I tend to use scrubs every few days after washing my hands, so these will remind me to keep on top of my skincare.  I did notice that one cube is far too big for just my hands so I break it up a little at a time and place it back on the dish.  So far, they haven’t crumbled from doing that and the cubes all work well.

Dell Cove – Crabtown Cocktail Salt

Retail Value $6.99

I tasted a bit on my finger and loved the taste.  It basically tastes like the seasoning you would expect to use when doing a crab bake. This is the perfect cocktail salt to rim a bloody mary with.  What a creative item to include, although I admit it seems a little out of place with the other items in the box.  I can still picture myself on the beach with a festive cocktail, so it does fit the theme of this subscription.

Coin Pearl Earring – Emma Jane Designs

Retail Value: $48

These elegant handmade 14k gold-filled, authentic coin pearl earrings are the star of this box.  I don’t have my ears pierced, but if I did, these are just the type of earrings I would wear.  The dainty look is casual yet artistic and classic.  I can’t wait to gift these to someone special.

Match Sticks in Ball Glass Top Bottle – Made Market Co

Retail Value: $25

I have seen similar products on the internet and have always been curious.  They look cute next to a candle and are also pretty useful since there even a striker label on the side of the bottle.  However, I can’t figure out how to open the container, which is great for child safety, but not so great for usability.  I am going to have my husband give it a go this weekend and see if he can open it.

Seagrass Belly Basket

Estimated Retail Value: $20

I have been looking for the perfect basket to organize my son’s toys in the living room.  When I saw this in the box I fell in love.  Not only can this basket fold down into a bin, but the blue color is also the accent color I’ve been moving toward for the living room.   I’m not sure what brand this particular basket is, however, there are many similar ones online, including this white one at Target.

Overall

I am a self-pronounced ocean fanatic.  I love the smell of the saltwater and the feel of the sand.  Even so, I have to say I was first taken aback by the higher end price tag for this quarterly subscription box.  I was skeptical if the value of the items would live up to the price point.  That being said, Saltwater & Sand floored me with every item that I pulled out of the box. Each item was high quality and fit right into my home.  The only item I won’t personally use are the earrings, which will still make a lovely gift.  Another thing that I loved is how unique each item was.  After reviewing boxes for a year, I tend to think I have seen it all. but this box reminded me there are surprises inside each subscription that can still wow me!
