The theme of April’s box is actually a combined theme of “April Showers & Earth Day”.  I really admire how each month this box is curated with a theme in mind and all the items fit in with that theme.  It makes for a very cohesive feel when opening each item.  Each month the insert is a hit for me as it feels like a letter from a friend, and I find myself looking forward to the next month’s edition.

Pep Talk PostCards & Frame

I find it amazing that this box includes some many unique products.  This Pep Talk Postcard book is no exception.  How cool is this item?  I can tell my friends and family how much they mean to me…from afar.  I have been getting into sending snail mail lately as a way to brighten people’s day so this is the perfect item for me.  When unboxing I wasn’t sure what the frame was for, but as I read the insert it all made sense.  The frame was included to use to display my favorite encouraging postcard for me.  I’m the type of person that has mantras hanging everywhere on my desk, so I will be using this for sure.

Magnetic Notepad & Eco-Conscious Pen

Who doesn’t need a magnetic notepad?  My other fridge notepad had just run out, so this was perfect.  The pen is noted as being eco-conscious, however not a lot of other information is listed for it.

Vinrella

I thought this was the cutest water bottle until I realized it was an umbrella!   With all the blustery weather we have been getting in Seattle, this was a welcomed product.  The colors and design are right up my alley too!  I will say that I had a bit of a challenge getting the wet umbrella back in the bottle the first few uses, but now I feel like a professional. The extra effort to get it snuggly in the container is worth it since that bottle keeps my purse dry.

Spongelle – You Have My Heart on a String

I have been wanting to try Spongelle for a long time.  I was disappointed to smell the rose while unboxing since rose is the one scent that I can’t use without getting a migraine.  However, this adorable item will make a great gift for someone. I wasn’t sure how this fit in with the theme until I read the insert, “April Showers”, get it.

ECO Swedish Dishcloth

My first thought was, I love this product!  How great is this?  My 5 year old said, “isn’t that the same thing as a washcloth?  You use it, wash it, and reuse it…”  Touche little man.  But this looks and feels like a paper towel.  It even has a slight texture that makes it easy to scrub with, therefore I love it.  Plus I can use it a few times and let it air dry between uses, more like a sponge.  You can wash this cloth 200 times before composting it!  I feel like you have to use one of these to really understand them.  I will be ordering at least a few more of these handy clothes, there are so adorable patterns on their website.  This is the perfect item to include to honor Earth Day!

Mason Jar Snack Bag & Treats

Another item that I loved is this Mason Jar snack bag and of course, treats are always welcomed! In the insert, Sarah mentioned that she wanted to protect the snacks from the scent of the Spongelle, which shows how much thought she puts into the items in the box.  I am thankful she found such a neat way to keep them separated.  That tea happens to be one of my favorites!  The Kind bar was delicious, perfectly chewy and NOT messy like other granola bars.  I ate one and sent one with my husband for an after lunch snack.  I thought it was excellent that she included two of each of the food items so I could share them!

Homebody Brew Coffee

As if I needed an excuse to stay at home with a book?  This bag of joy made 2 pots of coffee for me and was gooooood.  Oddly enough, this is the first time I have received coffee in a subscription box.  Since I love coffee, I was excited to get it and the label made it even more special!

Overall

I love how this box sticks to a theme since that makes it fun to open and see how the “puzzle” fits together each month.  Also, The Introverted Chick always includes unique items that I haven’t seen before.  I’m always impressed with the level of thought that is put into each and every item.   This particular month I was happy to see a few eco-friendly products since I strive to make small changes in my everyday routine.
