Saltwater and Sand are on my list of favorite subscription boxes of all time. When it arrives on my doorstep I can’t help but dig in right away!  Look how perfectly each item is individually wrapped in white tissue paper.  It’s small touches like this which sets this box apart from others.  Read on to see what was inside their Winter 2019 box.

Welcome Beads

Estimated Retail Value: $39.00

Think of these welcome beads as jewelry for your home.  I never knew that was a thing, but I’m loving the idea!  More than looking adorable, these beads are a symbol of hospitality and a sign to guests that they are welcome in your home. You can hang them from a doorknob, lampshade, or a hook, really anywhere that you want to display them!  I admire that these are handmade in South Carolina, which truly makes each piece one of a kind!

Coconut Dream Bar – Mayana Chocolate

Retail Value: $8.00

Let’s start off with what this dream bar has to offer, “Crispy Coconut Cookie, Salted Caramel, Creamy Coconut with 66% Dark Chocolate.”  I was actually a bit intimidated by this chocolate bar when I first unwrapped it.  The size of the thing is incredible and it looked too beautiful to eat.  However, being the candy-holic that I am, I bite right in.  All I can say is WOW!  If you like sea salt caramel and coconut – this will be your new favorite treat.  This impressive bar is nothing short of perfection.  I ended up slicing it into about ten pieces and enjoying it over the course of a week.  Every bite was amazing.  I will be ordering these as gifts in the future for sure!

Sea Shell Gel Candle – The Sea Garden

Retail Value: $27.00

Saltwater & Sand tends to send some really cool candles in their boxes.  I’m always a fan of getting a new one to display in my coastal themed bathroom.  This particular candle isn’t my favorite one that they have featured, but it is still pretty cool.  The gel look isn’t something I am really into, however, this candle smells amazing.  I also really like how beautiful the packaging is since I can reuse the jar once the candle is burnt out.

Golden Ocean Under Eye Mask – Beauty Kitchen

Retail Value: $6.25

Eye masks are always a win in my book.  There is never a time in my life that I don’t need to use one.  The bright blue color of this mask set from Beauty Kitchen immediately caught my eye.  To be honest, I used it before I even read what it can help with.  The cooling effect was very nice and I could tell my eye areas were less puffy after using them.  I looked up the product and it turns out these are handmade and sold on etsy.  I love that Saltwater & Sand are supporting small businesses in this Winter box!

Pina Colada Loose Leaf Tea & Rose Gold InfuserPinky Up Tea

Estimated Retail Value: $21.00

These two products were perfect for the wintertime blues here in Washington State.  After a longgggggg rainy season, this tea perked me right up.  And the rose gold infuser is darling!   The tea itself is one of the best loose leaf teas I’ve ever tried.  It is perfectly sweet without adding sweetener.  Plus, it makes the whole room smell incredible while it is steeping.

Facial Sea Sponge – Nash and Jones

Retail Value: $8.00

I have been wanting to try to use a sea sponge to help exfoliate my face for a while now.  I was so excited to try this one from Nash and Jones.  Before adding water the sponge feels pretty rough, but it melts into a soft cloud as soon as water hits it.  I also really like that I can clean it very easily with simply vinegar and water.  My favorite part about this particular product is the fact that it is responsibly harvested by hand, ensuring the sponge will grow back over time.

Ombre Tassel Basket

Estimated Retail Value: $45.00

Hands down, this is my favorite piece in the box.  This adorable basket will be perfect for basically anywhere in my house.  The bamboo feels extremely strong, which is a huge plus.  I love the ombre look and the added tassel accents.  Such a classic piece!

Overall

There is no doubt that I’m in love with the subscription box from Saltwater & Sand.  And while I know the price point is pretty high for most consumers, quarter after quarter they are proving that they are worth it.  This quarter once again blew me away. It seems that each box just gets better and better and reminds me why the price is set the way it is.  From the perfect basket to a little something for every part of my life, Saltwater & Sand totally gets me!
