About Stitch Fix

When you first sign up through Stitch Fix, you are given a styling profile to fill out for yourself. This helps your stylist pick out items that fit your needs, but also your personality and budget.  There are even examples of outfits that you can rate so your stylist really understands your fashion.  You can also choose how often you would like to receive boxes.   Personally, I have them send a box every other month.

Report Footwear, Martin Faux Suede Bootie – $60

I love Report booties, they are the only ones that seem to fit my foot correctly. And these are just my style.  The zipper in the back and the unique ankle cut were different enough from what I already have in my closet to justify keeping these beauties!

Tinsel, Two Pocket Button Down – $44

Typically, I am not the type of person that can rock flannel.  Despite trying to find the perfect shirt to channel my inner cowgirl, they never seem to look right on me.  This one the Stitch Fix sent fits extremely well and looks somewhat decent.  I wouldn’t say it is my favorite item in the box, but I liked it enough to want to keep it around.  The fabric was very soft and comforting, so that might have had something to do with my decision to keep it.

Fortune + IVY, Lighton Zip Detail Blouse – $34

If you know me, you know my go-to outfit is a lightweight blouse under a comfy cardigan.  So, of course, this cute zipper blouse was something I knew I would get some use out of.  The fit was perfect and I like that the fabric was a bit stretchy.  Plus, when I get the chance to add a nice black blouse to my closet, I rarely pass up the opportunity.

LUQ, Rhee Tie Front Top – $38

When I pulled this front tie blouse out of the box I thought I would be in love with it.  However, once I tried it on and realized it was a crop top, I couldn’t get it off quick enough.  My tum is the last thing that I want to expose.  I know I will never wear this shirt, however, the thing is….if I keep it I get the 25% off all the other items that I’m in love with.  What to do…..

Just USA, Rhea Skinny Jean – $58

Skinny jeans are basically all I wear at this point in the year.  They are just too perfect with botties and slouch boots.  Typically, I wouldn’t buy this color of jeans though.  Needless to say, I actually really liked these jeans.  Again, the fit was spot on and the quality was very nice.  I don’t think I will wear these a lot, but I think they will be fun to play around with.

Overall

Stitch Fix is a box that I keep coming back to. Some boxes are better than others, but frequently I find at least one item that I fall in love with, so it ends up being worth it.  They also offer a 25% discount if you decide to keep all the items that they send.  For example, if I decided to keep everything but the front tie blouse my total would have been $196.  However, I chose to keep everything this month and use the 25% off and my total dropped to $175.50.  So while I am not a fan of that one item, it still made sense to keep the entire box.  I think the best thing about Stitch Fix is the quality of the clothes that they send.  Generally, I buy rather inexpensive items for myself.  However, getting this box a few times a year and adding some higher quality items to my closet tends to be worth it in the long run.
