The theme of May’s box was “May Flowers”.  I really admire how each month this box is curated with a theme in mind and all the items fit in with that theme.  I’m sure it takes a lot of effort to come up with a box full of items to fit a theme, but The Introverted Chick does a great job of pulling it off.   The insert is always a big hit for me as it feels like a letter from a friend, and I find myself looking forward to the next month’s edition.  I like the way Sarah includes the “Meet the Makers” section so I can really get a feel of who the small businesses are that are featured in each box.  This month I was stoked to see Bold Blossoms featured since they are my favorite flower subscription box!  You can see a past review of their box here.

Floral Gift Bag & Sunshine Socks

These funny socks were inside the small floral gift bag.  The socks are just my style, bright with attitude.  I love wearing fun socks since it is one way to keep me smiling while I’m decked out in work attire.  Although the gift bag seemed random, I was happy to get it since I can reuse the bag for an upcoming wedding that I’m attending.  Also, the insert mentioned it was included since it is graduation and wedding season, which is pretty amazing forethought.

Vase

This vase was partially sponsored by Bold Blossoms and also included a 10% off coupon to Bold Blossom’s subscription box.  When I heard Bold Blossoms was teaming up with The Introverted Chick I was so excited to get a small arrangement of flowers from them.  While the vase wasn’t what I was expecting to see, I decided to make the most of it and go pick some flowers and make a small centerpiece for my table.  The vase is beautiful and will add some much-needed color in my collection of mostly clear vases.

Tissues

These will be perfect to bring with me to the wedding that I’m attending next month.  As I’m sure there will be happy tears.

Sahale Snacks – Honey Almonds

I basically inhaled this treat during a break at work this week.  I was trying to eat them slowly, but they were so good that I couldn’t help myself.  I really liked the tart cranberries mixed in with the sweet honey-covered almonds.  Such a delightful little treat!

Set of 3 Flower Rings

I have to admit, these are not my style.  I do however have some nieces that would love to rock these.  I like the elastic bands since it can fit pretty much anyone.  I was hoping there was a bit of info in the insert about where these came from but I didn’t see them listed this month.

Savannah Bee Company – Beeswax Lip Balm

I have a major surplus of lip balms at the moment, so I decided to keep this one sealed for now.  I will, however, point out that I’m a major fan of the Savannah Bee Company since hearing that proceeds from their products support The Bee Cause Project.  The mission of The Bee Cause Project is to provide youth with opportunities to understand, engage, and learn from honey bees in order to connect with the natural environment while developing STEAM skills.  I really like that The Introverted Chick teams up with so many great companies that are making a difference!

“The Sun and Her Flowers” Paperback Book

I wasn’t sure this book would be a hit for me.  Normally I steer toward the crime section when picking my latest books to read.  I have only gotten in a few pages so far because you know…life happens.  However, I have really enjoyed the first chapter and am excited to read more during my upcoming vacation!

Lucia’s Imports – Beaded Bracelet

I used to have a bracelet almost just like this and lost it at the beach.  I was actually really excited to see this since I had been missing my old one recently.  I also really like that Lucia’s Imports is a member of the Fair Trade Federation.  Again, I love that The Introverted Chick supports companies that are actively making a difference in our world!

Blank Notecards & Introverted Chick Pen

These cards came in at a perfect time to use for teacher appreciation week at my son’s school.  I couldn’t believe that even the right number I needed for his teachers were included in the box.  It must have been fate.  I already have one of the pens that were included in this box, but, am always happy to add more to my collection.

Weekly Desk Calendar

I already have a method for my organizational madness and it works for me.  That being said, I won’t use this calendar.  It is very cute, but not something I need in my life at this particular moment.  I do know someone who will love this though so I will be sure to gift it to them.

Professional Homebody Business Cards & Cardcase

I remember getting something similar in a previous Introverted Chick box.  The cards make me chuckle, however, I wouldn’t ever actually use them. The case I will definitely use at work.

Overall

While I have to admit, May wasn’t my favorite month to date from The Introverted Chick.  I’m also not a flower person, so it is hard for me to give a truly unbiased review.  I like flowers, but they aren’t my jam.  For me, this month brought mainly high-quality gifts to give out to other people.  Now, that isn’t such a bad thing since I’m more of a giver than a receiver by nature!   I’m excited to give out these little gifts to people and see how much they appreciate them.  My favorite part about this month, and really every month from The Introverted Chick, was the thought that went into each product.  While pulling out tissues seemed odd at first, it actually was an extremely well thought out item since it is wedding season and who doesn’t need tissues during weddings?  That really showed me how much forethought is put into the curation of this box.
